I think it would be a bit difficult to smoke all the time. You'd need break here and there.

Its the same as drinking mate...Everything in moderation!

The reason that all governments haven't legalized it, is because they wouldn't know how to tax it.
I mean it is so readily available, and so easy to grow.
Thats why they have got such strict penalties for growing a tobacco plant or distilling liquor here in Australia (the goverment taxes the hell out of it).

This is my theory anyway!

Don't have to smoke. Don't have to do anything. I just don't like how some non-smokers can look down on those that do, especially when they don't understand anything about the effects and the plant. When that happens, it just infuriates me.

I can't believe the number of people even on THIS website that are misinformed about hemp and "marihuana."


For a general starters.....You can't smoke hemp. Well, you can, but you would pass out from smoke inhalation before you would feel anything but a headache. The reason it is illegal in the United States, is because some of the richest men in the country were standing to lose money in the advancement of hemp. Scientists discovered that you can take practically anything made from lumber, cotton, PETROLEUM, plus thousands more, and make it from hemp for cheaper, cleaner, more cost effective, and 99.9% Natural. Big money got big laws passed, and installed a 'reefer madness' mentality into millions of people.

But a neat little fact is that in 1941, Henry Ford built a car in which the frame was the only metal consisting in its structure. Everything else consisted of entirely natural fibers. HEMP was the #1 Ingredient, followed by wheat, seagrass, and corn fibers. The car ran on fuel made completely by hemp, and its body although considerably lighter than steel, withstood blows ten times greater before denting.


I don't recall any of my sources at this moment, and I've researched the shit way too many times to look it up again. Common knowledge people, you just gotta look past all of the bullshit that everyone seems to be swimming in.

 

so many people trust that the laws are in place for their protection and never think to question them. hence the common mentality that ostracizes marijuana and its users. I recently read through a government training book for law enforcement, hospital staff, etc, about drugs and drug users. it was chock full of fallacies and shocking statements, which sort of make me disinclined to seek medical help over a drug-related problem.

this is an interesting read, the perspective of a former cop. he says, amongst other things, ""We caused more harm breaking up families to put non-violent drug offenders in jail than the drugs ever did." again, shocking, but not surprising.

further, many, many studies (I'm sure all you guys know this) show that alcohol and tobacco are far more harmful than marijuana, ecstacy, LSD, etc etc. alcohol would, in fact, be classified as a hard drug, along with cocaine and heroin.

it's hard to go on with this without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but it seems evident that there is one primary cause behind all these bullshit laws and regulations, and that cause is money. taxes on alcohol and tobacco, huge corporations earning their primary revenue from alc & tobacco, hemp being so useful and could potentially cripple many corporations, et cetera ad infinitum.

 

That's a terrible mentality.

Never shut up. Talk to people and educate them about the beauty of the herb... that is the only way to ever make it socially acceptable.

 

i know mate. i'm just yanking peoples chains a bit haha. i've smoked my fair share in the past. i've chosen to not drink in the past. now i drink on the weekends, but i haven't smoked since august. i'll smoke again one day.

if u care at all about the fate of the earth u should read this article. it tells u all the benefits of hemp other than getting stoned from it. Jimmy P and letlovintakehold really got the meaning of the article. it wasnt about smoking it, it was about processing it and making environmentally friendly products and a shitload of other good things from hemp that we cant make b/c it is illegal and the govt wont give u a permit to make all that stuff cuz the companies they support and get money from would go out of business if they became popular. if everyone knew this stuff i know that most people that gave a damn would protest the law against hemp everyday. and just so u know NOT ONE PERSON HAS DIED FROM HEMP IN ANY WAY! and look at how many people die from tobacco and alcohol. we tried getting rid of alcohol but that didnt work and i dont know why people smoke tobacco when they know all this shit about it. the guys saying that hemp can be very beneficial if it was legal. smoking it actually increases brain activity if u would read the thing. why would u post something w/o reading the article anyway?! it just pisses me off to know that u guys are posting stuff w/o fully understanding the subject.
