"Generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties."~Barrack Obama~

REALLY MR. OBAMA!? Is our Freedom of Speech, religion, the press, our right to bare[sic] arms and, the right to a fair trial "negative liberties"?

    Excellent point!

I consider chosing whether or not to hire women, blacks, or minors
[or any other choice] a "liberty".
The state dictates the individual cannot excersize the liberty of their own free choice
by dictating a control agenda in the name of freedom.

0bama has a valid point [if your quote is true].
0ne I made long b4 he was ever heard of.
0f course these freedoms he critisizes
    allowed him to become president.

If I owned a business I might choose to hire family [racist], friends [ethinic], and like-minded [religious/faith/belief] ppl first.
ALL violate the [false] freedoms the constitution is about.

When freedoms are dictated by law they are NOT freedoms !

Have you read the Constitution?? The Constitution doesn't tell us who we can and can't hire!!!

There is NO negative Liberty in the Constitution, unless you are part of an evil oligarchy who seeks to control of the worlds resources, then you may see freedom to be negative!!

Without these rights the government could do essentially whatever they want!!! The Constitution wasn't made to regulate the people, it was made to regulate the Government. A Government who cannot follow these basic Humans Rights are illegitimate and corrupted to the core!

OBAMA: But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

And, to that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and Warren court interpreted it in the same way that, generally, the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties -- says what the states can't do to you, says what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf, and that hasn't shifted.

And one of the -- I think the tragedies of the civil rights movement was, because the civil rights movements became so court-focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing, and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change. And, in some ways, we still suffer from that.http://mediamatters.org/blog/2011/01/06/glenn-beck-still-smearing-obama-with-lies-about/174842

In an interview John Wayne said that it took 3 years for a president to get his own hands on the reins, and the 4 year was an election year so it was about what might be done in the next 4 years when he may actually be the boss.

John Wayne also said, "If you've got them by the balls their hearts and minds will follow."

Attributed variously to Charles W. Colson (Special Counsel to US President Richard Nixon); Jerry Martin (American comedian) and John Wayne (American actor)

I am just amazed there are so many that approve of Obama. The Reps and the Dems are two sides of the same coin -- both owned by wall street first and then the corporations. The american sheeple need to wake up.

No, if your only real choice is between Democrats and Republicans, it is far better to choose Democrats. I admit it is not much of a choice.

This is the exact ignorance that is killing this country! You think people don't like him simply because he's black? My best friend is black, I don't have anything against black people!

Plus, I supported him in 2008, cause I believed his peace candidate rhetoric, and all the lies that he spewed. However, if you actually look into what he's doing, I mean, drone striking American Citizens without any type of Trial, putting certain restrictions on PROTESTS, he has a presidental 'kill list,' which includes American teenage girls, he passed CISPA, which allows government read your text messages/facebook messages/email/whatever else they want! He even passed executive order NDRP, which, allows the government to steal anything they need from you, even in times of peace!

It seems like everytime I turn around, Barrack Obama is taking another Constitutional Right away from us! The man should be impeached, and tried for high treason. (Betrayal of one's country.)

    The choice is,

"Should I vote for the guy, who lies, and acts like he cares for the poor/middle class?"

    OR

"Should I vote for the guy who admits he doesn't give a fuck about the poor/middle class?"

Romney and Obama were sponsored by the same elite banksters! (Jp morgan and Goldman Sachs!) Therefore, the real winner either way, is WALL ST!!!
