Anything can be taken positively or negatively, Love is the same that way

you can turn it into something beautiful, even as it dissipates you can learn from it, you can grow from it

or you can let it destroy you, you can let it fester in your soul and ruin parts of yourself, possibly forever

 

Well, I can't make most anyone fall in love with me, but thaaaat's alright. Anyway, love can very well be a genuine thing. Some people may make it out to be an illusion, sure.. But some people also really MEAN it. They feel it strongly in their hearts, and they recognize it as a genuine feeling. So what if it doesn't last forever? Things have a way of changing. Sometimes things stay the same, other times not. Love is no exception. But it's a precious thing BECAUSE it can be vulnerable like that. We want to cherish it, nurture it, and we want to receive its power when it is strong and we aren't.

It is a real emotion that we feel, whether or not we know it as "love".

Nope, you get practice on how to do it better then next time. You love... you learn... you make lasting impressions in life... ect.

I can tell you that all of the people in my life that I have had lasting (and some not so lasting) relationships with Im still very good friends with to this day and talk to on a regualr basis.
I suppose its just how you look at life. I was kind of like you when I was 19... you grow, you change.... it will all start to make sense to you as you grow.
