Do you give money to beggars?

Yeah, I usually give money to people who ask me for it. Unless I get a negative vibe from them, then I just say no. They can say whatever they want to me, I dont see how that should affect me.

Assaulting a homeless person for no reason, othen than them saying "fuck off" is just pathetic.

I have given money and food , and sometimes clothes .

 

I get too scared to give anything. Coupled with the fact most of the time I don't have any money, the rest of the time I need that cash. xD

 

I never give them money, ever... learned that lesson in Honduras. They rarely spend the money on food, the stereotype holds true.

I do give them food whenever I can, or bum cigarettes out to them.

 

Instead of being massive consumerists this holiday season, my mom told our family to just donate to a charity of our choice. My dad said "give ten bucks to a homless guy"

But yeah, sometimes if i pass someone that wants some money, i'll give em what I can. There's no telling if they actually are going to spend it on food or on trying to get out of the situation they're in or if they're just going to spend it on booze, but who am I to say they can't have a beer? I'd want a beer too if I was out in the cold.

 

Fuck donating to charities. Practically every charity is extremely corrupt. You're much better off just taking a homeless guy to lunch if you want to be "charitable".

 

What I find annoying is when they have a sign that says “clean and sober”

Why do I give a fuck if some bum on the street is clean and sober?
Maybe they should get a job instead of being clean and sober.

 

There have been times when I needed to bum small amounts of money off complete strangers. Them buying me food would be of no help, seeing as I needed bus fair or something another. While I'm not a huge believer in karma, I believe in it enough to help when I can. If somebody needs a couple bucks, I'll give them it a couple bucks, no questions asked.

 

do i look like i'm made of money, i spend it all on pot. i'd throw a dude a roaach if he looks like he's on a rough come down or real long binge.

 

with that said, i'd give the same dude my coat or my shoes if he asked.

i dont care what they spend it on, if they need it they need it. i can't justify giving them money or not giving them money....i don't care, i know a lot of people wont spend it on food or clothes or anything else which is "useful" but i dont really care. idk, i try to be generous when i can

 

You're doing them more good by not giving them money to spend on stuff that they don't really need, believe me.

Save that money for friends. I'd much rather help a friend in need than a bum.

When i was getting the doll i use to give cash out to those less fortunate then me. I figured it is social welfare money, and those who are homeless cant get their own despite they probably need it more then me. So yeah i do.

I have also tipped a cabbie $20 because again, i didnt need it and he deserved it more then me, he was nice enough to ask three times if i was sure.

He said he was out of gas. I have no idea what he needed the money for. Nor am I completely interested. It's a cold night here in Texas. I hope he stays warm.
