On the Ewan topic... I watched Velvet Goldmine, a movie I love dearly, today.

Ewan McGregor is indeed hot in it, plus he looks like Kurt Cobain (only because he's supposed to).

 

No kidding? I remember people used to say I look like Kurt as well when I had that long hippy hair and patchwork clothes and I smelled like drugs all the time. Whew thank god I found comfort in sexiness

Well I am more into the movement before that, and after the crap the hippys made, AKA the best thing since Bach, AKA the best thing since Segovia, AKA life, Progressive rock, which mostly sucks, except for Yes and early Genesis AKA the best shit to happen before Mf Doom and Madlib, time periods I like to refer to as AH and BM So what it comes down to is that music, underground hip hop, some jammy jam shit and some Bach some flamenco its allgood. All I really care for though is classical guitar, fuck I just traded a mandolins worth $350.00 my ex bought me for my birthday to one of my old Rainbow family friends for 12 percocets just yesterday, and I would have given it to him for free anyway

 

The mandolin is a lovely instrument.

 

That it is, but I am completely obsessed with the nylon string guitar I have, and therefore was able to pass on the mandolin with ease knowing that the kid who took it will put much better use to it than I ever will I also gave up my banjo and my lap steel guitar for free recently Like I say, spread the joy

Classical guitar is lovely... but I just cannot let go of acoustic... it makes me fingers tingle.

On the topic... do you know of any good recording program (which I can download no so legaly) on which I can loop stuff, and just layer record so that I don't have to play the guitar, piano, harmonica, and sing at the same time?

 

I do not sadly, but I DO know someone that does and I will ask him Last weekend we were laying down some tracks and I was drunk freestyling (I actually can do it, contrary to what people may think ) and he was tearing it up on his cello and guitar, laying down drum beats and horns, all kinds of shit in a matter of about 2-3 minutes I am DYING to get my hands on whatever the hell program that was, I mean he was looping all that shit plus what I was saying before I could finish a beer

Any jam session with friends is usually wonderful, especially with the presence of alcohol.

I remember we all smoked opium once and played 5 guitars at once, and it was all in sync... amazing.
