Summertime, mika pocket holster holding a glock 26 in cargo shorts. Otherwise, IWB comp-tac of glock 19. In the woods, glock 20. If things go sideways or the zombie apocalypse comes about, a side folder or under folder AK do not need to be concealed. Lastly, a S&W 642 in a smartcarry while working out. This is all hypothetical. Peace,
I own many guns, including machine guns (they're legal where I live.) I'm also a firearms competitor, NRA instructor, and lifelong hunter. The same is also true for my wife. Our guns are for recreation, hunting, self-defense, collecting, and just because they're fun to shoot. Oh, BTW, we live out in the country, on a large plot of land, we have a REAL home security system in place, and I own a backhoe. If anyone comes to try and steal our guns, the body will never be found. The white-painted rocks that run the length of my driveway are not decorations, they're range markers.
Ha ha! The gym I go to is filled with LEO and not one has raised an eyebrow or said a word to me (some are acquaintances and chat for a minute or two). I am within the law, so no worries, but still it is an easy way to conceal. I've never been made with this method of carry. All hypothetical of course.
I am just like you, except no fully auto here. Nice, I like the range markers idea!! Do you have "decorative" flags along the driveway so you can dope for windage?
That's awesome! We have a couple NRA instructors in our family too . My security system is my dogs lol. If an intruder was somehow able to get past one of them, by the time they did I'd be firing rounds. I've never thought of taking my piece into the gym. I don't know why I find that so impressive haha. I always just leave mine in my center console.
Our gym had a bunch of vehicle break-ins. Plus, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
Just one, an American flag down by the mail box. The driveway is short enough that it's sufficient. If they get more than half way up the driveway, under fire, then it's time to bring out the belt-fed .308!
Outstanding! My wife and I love to teach. Women students are the best. They don't have dicks and don't have anything to prove. Guys all seem to think they were born with some kind of "shooting gene". They learned everything they need to know from TV and the movies. We spend most of our time in class trying to get them to "unlearn" all of their bad habits. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes not. Lori (my wife) has an especially hard time with male students. Their fragile egos just will not allow them to admit that a woman knows more about guns and shooting that they do. I know different. I've seen all her shooting award ribbons!
I want to buy another rifle tomorrow. Thinking AR style in .308. But then again one of the local shops has a bunch of AK pistols on sale for like $649. Decisions. I kind of want to pick up one of those 15-22 tactical .22s also. s&w or mossberg. They are cheap, and I don't own any .22s. I'm having a racoon problem in my yard/neighborhood, and with subsonic rounds and suppressor my neighbors wouldn't even be bothered!
Im think maybe some new furniture, A tact shotgun or my 597 .22. Im leaning toward the .22 as its plain looking and could use some 'tactical' upgrades.
My wife does not teach, but I do. I enjoy instructing women way more than men for the exact reasons you stated. Besides NRA, I'll instruct/SRO at women's events. Fun. And I find that women generally become better shooters than men.
