    No, I don't.

That's too much. Why does he need a couple dozen guns?
Sorry if someone already asked, I didn't read the whole thread.

    Why does it matter?

I can understand someone owning a gun or two (for protection), but when someone has a couple dozen guns I would consider the person a gun freak or something.
    Of course it matters.

Perhaps it doesn't. It is just interesting why one person would keep a couple of dozen of firearms.

I live in a very safe apartment with security patrols. But nevertheless I wish I had one of my own.

I did have possession of a Beretta .22 with a laser scope for a while, but it wasn't mine. It belonged to a family member and I handed it over when they came by to pick it up. That thing was fun.

Why? Do they really need a reason?

There's almost always a certain reason, relevant or irrelevant. It's intriguing if someone states something like that to ask why. No big deal necessarily, Sig.

I would hazard a guess that he just finds firearms interesting and enjoys shooting different types.

To me, it's just too much, so that's why I asked Frieden.

why would someone not have a reason for owning 24 guns? Seems a little irresponsible to me to amass that many guns for absolutely no reason in the world. There is a reason for everything and its okay to be curious as to why someone does something.

Some people collect them as a sport... or collect them because they use them for sport. That's not for me but to each their own.

Perhaps that is why I got defensive on his behalf. Too much is entirely relative and, frankly, I don't think anyone has to justify owning that many firearms.

Well you chose to emphasize the ''it's too much'' part, however, I also said ''to me''.
I was curious so I asked Frieden.

You can never have too many firearms, Just like you should always have too much ammo.

Between me and my family, We have a shit load of fire power. A few the same, But all different types and chambered rounds. I have a .22 for fun and shooting wild animals like coons etc. I have a 7.62mm for distance to drop a coyote or my various sidearms and shotguns. Shotguns range from a 18" barrel riot Mossberg to wingmasters and 870 magnums.

But oddly enough, Out of all the firearms I have, My fave's are the cheap hi-point c-9 9mm and the ol mossy sawed off. Both have been machined, Ported etc to work flawless and never jam or misfire, Common for Hi-Point.
