Your gun(s) has to be registered with the CFR (Canadian Firearm Registry). You have to apply for a license, there are basically two types. One is POL (Possession Only License) and the other is PAL (Possession and Acquisition License). You have to have taken through the Canadian Firearms Program the Firearm Safety. They are all done including the forms and background checks through the RCMP. You do not have to own a gun to apply for either of these licenses. You can not purchase a gun without one or the other nor can you purchase ammunition without one.
I don't own any guns but I enjoy shooting them, and have access to all sorts of firearms any time I'd like. I'll own guns later in my life. I have different priorities right now.
My whole family has guns I do not own one. My mom has a rifle. My dad just got a pistil and my sister has a gun they both took a class and got there license to carry one with them at all times so does my brother in law
my sister had 3 kids and when Eric is out of town she likes to have protection she keeps it in the top shelf of her closet she has the one where you can use a thumb print or a code. someone girl was raped not far from my sisters house she was drugged at this bar and 4 guys took her to this trailer and all 4 of them raped her
My neighbor has a Thompson sub machine gun. His family are hunters/trappers/fisherman and do everything outdoors. Hes got to have one of them all. So far he has a , S&W 500, 45-70govt. magnum research, .50cal gold desert eagle, All the walthers sp? 007, 30-06 BAR, .308 in many flavors, SK's, AK's, Mini 14's, Uzi, the list goes on. His 'carry' gun is converted .454 revolver. Along with said guns, He has a minimum of 1000 rounds on hand at each time for every gun. Im just glad we are on good terms and his father is a friend who stops by daily to talk etc. I don't know why one would need all that, But I have hobbies and his is obviously his is firearms.
IMO they are just as light and shoot easy like it is a 'toy' gun. Very well made and recoil is nill to none. His is semi-auto though, Not a true full auto one, Same with the Thompson, No select fire. Come to think of it, If his house went up in flames, It would level the block. I know for sure we would be flat on the floor with all the ammo going off.
They're really fun to shoot. Like if you're firing a Tommy, and not smiling, there's something wrong with you. Yikes, that's a good point about all that ammo!
Speaking of "classics" like that, a buddy of mine out in PA has a wartime MG42 along with a wartime MP40. Those are both fun as fuck to fire.
Yep, A smile from ear to ear lol. Whats really funny, Is people see them in pic's and on TV and old gangster movies being used one handed and full auto. But in real life, The Thompson is by far one of the heaviest guns ever made lol. Its cold rolled blue steel, Nothing too bad, But far fetched from the 'movies'.
Im not too sure either, But I look at it lie a bottle rocket, Take the stick off and where does it go? Id say the shotgun shells would be more likely to blow being plastic and all. But the range of them isn't far. It would make for one hell of a fire fight for the firemen lol, Plus it would sound like ww3.
