I'm not in school right now, but back in HS, I'd just bring something to do that looks like work. Unless I had something better to do.

as for colleges, some programs here kick you out if you miss a certain class 3 times.

Yes, I skipped whenever I could. My professors knew my full-time job was time consuming andthe University heard a lot about it through the community, so they always excused my absences and I always took advantage of them and blamed it on work ):. I feel bad now.
When i go to grad school next year, I'm going to make it a point to go to class unless there is no possible way I can.

 

Since this thread's back up anyway I might as well go ahead and say it - I totally agree with this.

Currently we have free education; they're paying for nearly everything, why not utilise it? What's the point in chucking it away to spent time with people, chances are, you'll be bitching about in two years time anyway?
