many years ago there was an actual human being used to take yer quarter [singular ]he had a white glove mostly .....cars back then had cig lighters ...you simply got it real warm ...not white hot of dammaging . but hot enuff to feel tremendos contrast in the chilly north . dude would take it in hand , then toss up the coin ....bowling for county mounties .....i seen in rural south
