Some Israelis suffer from a thing called "Chosen People Syndrome." They actually believe that a wise God plays favorites among his children. If a human parent does that, it's called being a shitty parent. But when you suffer from Chosen People Syndrome, you don't question the distinction because, like favored children, it plays on your vanities. When people believe they're better than someone else, they tend to not care about that someone else. And what good can come from that?

I'm a bit of an idiot savant when it comes to some things, and sometimes I really need things spelled out for me.
I'm really not familiar with religions. I am, however, very familiar with how the faithful represent their beliefs via their behavior; especially the Zionists and others out to practice their control-freakishness. I'm familiar with the Bible, but only because it was forced down my throat before I had the strength to break the arm that held it. All I learned from it was that Jesus came to . . . protect us all from God, who had a penchant for pain, blood, and ransom. Quite the terrorist, when you think about it.
Just to be on the safe side, I'll say I support the Islamists, who are only carrying out the will of the 'One True God Allah' in bringing about the submission or death of all the infidels in all lands, as ordered by Allah. That may change depending on how I see China respond to Islamist attempts to carve out and expand an autonomous portion of China. The war to end all wars will be the one that brings about the extinction of human life.
Frankly, what you had shoved down your throat had little to do with the teachings of Christ himself or his Apostles if you follow the Publishing history of the very sources for the stories which make up the new testament as approved by Constantine and King James and all in between who held power and felt threatened by what was originally written. http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/nhl.html :2thumbsup:
Well, yeah, I understand that. But as far as I'm concerned, the teachings of Christ is simply a call to conscience, which raises one's consciousness. I wish someone would take that part about Hell out of the text.
I agree. And I would add that we draw to ourselves what we believe in, whether we want it or not. No one escapes their beliefs.

To whom it may concern, If I tell you that your car is red, but it is actually blue, will you become angry with me? If you do become angry with me for telling you that your car is red when it is actually blue, then what does that say about your faith in your perception of color? It says much. Did you know that in order to hate something, you first need to believe in it whole-heartedly. So, what are you believing right now? Don't tell me; I already know. Tell yourself. Tell yourself that you are believing in me more than you believe in even yourself. And believe it or not, you are believing in your anger more than you are believing in even me. It is the only thing that satisfies; it is where you put all of your faith. You didn't know that, but now you do. And what will you do with this knowledge, knowing that your faith is centered around your anger, and that anger is its own reward. Will you feed it? Or will you heal it?
"I heard what was said of the universe, Heard it and heard it of several thousand years; It is middling well as far as it goes—but is that all? Magnifying and applying come I, Outbidding at the start the old cautious hucksters, Taking myself the exact dimensions of Jehovah, Lithographing Kronos, Zeus his son, and Hercules his grandson, Buying drafts of Osiris, Isis, Belus, Brahma, Buddha, In my portfolio placing Manito loose, Allah on a leaf, the crucifix engraved, With Odin and the hideous-faced Mexitli and every idol and image, Taking them all for what they are worth and not a cent more, Admitting they were alive and did the work of their days, (They bore mites as for unfledg’d birds who have now to rise and fly and sing for themselves,) Accepting the rough deific sketches to fill out better in myself, bestowing them freely on each man and woman I see, Discovering as much or more in a framer framing a house, Putting higher claims for him there with his roll’d-up sleeves driving the mallet and chisel, Not objecting to special revelations, considering a curl of smoke or a hair on the back of my hand just as curious as any revelation," -Walt Whitman, Song of Myself

Fritz, you must listen to the oldies to be familiar with the Jackson's abc 123 song, or you're older than you're telling. There's no shame in being old. You should 'fess--up.
