while no proof is final, the source of that 6k year bs, began itself 26kya, as it points to at least 23 instences 1ky apart. of which there have been 2.5 since. soo, at least 26k + that 6.
but there's sill a problem with that. 26k is just humans, and life is multiple times that, and the mineral substrate is multiple times that of life, so even just intuitively 4.5b sounds about right.
but even that is just for the planet having solidified its surface into its present form. presumably the formation of the star we orbit is proportionately older then that, the galaxy older then our solar system, and this universe, supposing it had a beginning, which is widely agreed upon as likely but difficult to confirm, would have to be somewhat older then that.

and what about other universes, should they presume to exist? looked at from a more realistic perspective, the existence of our own species shrinks to sub microscopic proportions.

not sure what chookshins are, but furrys, scalies and feateries were around a long time before hoomans. a longer time before hoomans then there have been hoomans. and amoibas as proportionally long before that.

and while we think about how hoomans abuse each other, we might give some thought to how we create the cultural contexts in which we do. even disease is not entirely seperate from how we interact with the same environment we share with every other living thing.
