Do You Trust Clowns?

I trust a clown about as far as I can hit him in the face with a pie.

(I say "him" because I wouldn't hit a lady clown.)

 

A friend of mine works for the newspaper and heard another clown sighting called in over the police scanner this morning.

My personal theory is that a group of clowns, tired of facing discrimination every day, formed a secret club and meet in the woods, in a safe zone if you will, where they can be free to be clowns away from the judgememtal eyes of the public. But because it is a clown's natural instinct to perform they can't help but venture out occasionally. And they're still being judged and discriminated against. Poor clowns.

My 11 year old neighbor showed me where her friend spotted a clown in our neighborhood.

Which makes me think the whole thing is just a hoax perpetuated by kids with overactive imaginations.

Its all the neighborhood kids who play with my son talk about, and now he's having nightmares about clowns. Clown hysteria has taken our chirrens!

 

If it gets real big it could create some jobs though!

i have yet to encounter a situation in my life, where the question has arisen. why would i ever need to?
unless you mean "clowns" in some less literal sense.

 

...and some clowns don't even know they're clowns. they walk around and pretend to be regular people just like you and I.

 

no one is going to be laughing if that one gets elected. those who think they want him will probably be the furst ones he stabs in the back.
saying we told them won't be much of a consolation to the rest of us either. i so want to be mistaken, but i'd sure rather not have to find out.

 

I really hope this couple doesn't decide to procreate....


Police: 2 arrested because of false creepy clown reports in Georgia


Georgia police arrested two people Wednesday for calling 911 and allegedly making false claims about clowns trying to lure children into a van.

Brandon Moody, 26, and Rebecca Moody, 27, were arrested and sent to Troup County Jail for obstruction and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.

Creepy Clown Hoaxes Lead to 12 Arrests in Multiple States

The reports to the police had one thing in common with the circus act involving an improbable number of clowns emerging from a small car.

They just kept coming, and coming, and coming, across multiple states. Clowns in vans. Clowns in the woods. Clowns lurking in the shadows. Clowns chasing people or doing crimes.
But in recent weeks, steady polic
e work has turned the news around, with 12 people facing charges of making false reports or threats, or chasing people, the authorities said. Other cases seem attributable to children with overactive imaginations, teenagers pulling pranks and others with their own reasons for adding to the hysteria. At least one death has been linked to a clown hoax.

The first reports of unusual clown sightings surfaced late in August in Greenville County, S.C., with stories that the costumed figures were offering children money to lure them into the woods or were lingering in places and giving residents the heebie-jeebies.

From there, the reports became a contagion, with sightings claimed in at least six other states: Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Even as the police were unable to verify the reports, they proliferated.
