Do You Trust Clowns?

Dammit... I so wanted to see a photo of the woman.

 

I think the clown has been perverted into something it is not, to very sad consequences for actual real clowns.

What is a real clown? It's not the most clever guy or girl in the world. They can't make up the best jokes, the best one-liners. But they want to make people laugh. And how do they do it? By wearing funny shoes and funny hair. I admit I don't find clowns funny, but I can see why a clown would think he's being funny. And I find it sad that these guys who just want to make people laugh in the only way they can figure out how can't do it because other people have turned clowns into something horrible and vicious.

I think the reason some people are more scared of clowns than anything else is precisely because the real clown is somebody you're supposed to be able to trust. Someone whose sole intention is to make you smile. It's the idea that this innocent trust you have for another human being can be broken in a nightmarish way that really disturbs people.
