do you use filters on your joints/spliffs/rolled products...

I always use a roach when smoking joints and I'm really not sure why you wouldn't. I've always referred to it as a cork though.

My newfie buddy used to always mix tobacco with his weed, although we usually just made a popper bottle.

 

some do call it a roache, and i know what they are referring to when they call it that like
"did you want me to make a roach for that joint?" when i'm the one rolling or w/e.
just the people i usually hang with call it filter

 

Mixing tobacco and Weed together in joints is for people with shitty weed.

And like l-foote, i also call them "filters" there isnt much aruging the use of the world "filter" in a joint or a smoke because whats the difference? they both FILTER things out between the content and your mouth

and like the origional poster, generally for filters me and my friends will cut them from the front cover of the pack of rollies

 

i have never seen anybody use a filter around here...come to think of it i dont remember anyone mixing it with baccy either. i dont want to anyway i cant hold that in for more than 5 seconds.

 

i use them most of the time. the only time i dont use the is when i roll a piner.

And to me roach = rolled up bit of card.
Filter = fiberglass thing that actually filters the smoke.

yes I use filters. its easier to roll with and you dont burn you fingers/lips off.

I think the reason lotsa people use tobacco is beacuse then you conserve weed beacuse you dont haveta use as much of it.
But I hate smoking with tobacco. but I dont turn a mixed joint down if Im hanging with freinds and they roll one wiht hteir weed or whatever.

 

1. That is ignorant bullshit. It just isn't part of the US marijuana etiquette. It's the way it is done in Europe including Amsterdam, where weed is sometimes stronger, cheaper and decriminalised, but is still smoked with tobacco.

2. It makes no logical sense. If you are using less weed to get the same effect, chances are the weed is stronger. The more weed you have to use, the more cash you are spending. So if anything, it's a sign of better weed.

3. There are other ways of doing things outside the good 'ol US of A ya know

 

when i started smoking mary jane, the people i smoked with mixed with tobacco. then a few days later i learned to roll myself, and i smoked ciggy's anyways so i always mixed em.
these days i don't. i smoke em pure, it's harsher, but i like it better.

Just because you do it that way in your country it don't mean it's the only way and the right way. Like I said earlier in this thread, if you smoked the shit that I'm smoking at the moment straight without no baccy it would fuckin kill you off.

I do every now and then, it depends on my mood. You can tell a lot by a joint or blunt or any other rolled product. Today I've smoked 2 rolled cigs and both had no filter but killed anyways.

 

I smoke rolling baccy (Golden Virginia) instead of normal cigs and I can't smoke em without a roach/filter in the end, too harsh! I used ta smoke normal cigs but they taste too chemically i.e. you can taste the chemicals in em.

 

i mix tobacco and herb. but ever since the new year i only smoke name brand weed, such as northern lights and the such, and to roll a pure joint of northern lights to face is a waste in my opinion.
