I would quit if I was told I have to remove my tattoos... Thats bogus.. I have mine in places that when im in "Work Clothes" You can not see them.. But when Im home and in my clothes you can see most of them... Usually covering them is enough for companies.. I have never heard of removing it
my tats are easily covered up but i have had to take out some facial piercings for jobs..... I worked with a girl once who was tatted everywhere....and our place of employment didn't allow visibal tats so she had to wear long sleeves and long skirts everyday to work, even in the summer. it was a bitch for her but......
the last place i worked for didnt really care what i inked up or peirced. i came in with a lip ring one day and didnt hear a peep from anyone and this was an office job................... and i wore sleeveless shirts with my tats showing and no one seemed to mind... they did however play favorites and underpay employees, thats why i am self employed now
To my surprize, I wasn't hassled last summer at my summer camp job - though all I had was alot of hemp jewlry and an earing. It is a scout summer camp though, so here's to small victories. The one thing I did wear that i thought I might get into trouble for was the inclusive scouting award on my uniform; the patch is a message saying I believe scouting should be open to all regardless of sexual orientation or religious belief. It started many discussions but my camp director never mentioned it once - and i know he noticed it. Again, small victories. Though maybe they just let me get away with it cause i'm the arts and crafts guy. ANy suggestions for this coming summer? Lets see what I can get away with.
lets see...my neck is completely tattoed, my back and my arms and i wear tee shirts to work...wanna know where i work??...walmart...not even kidding...nope ive never had problems
