That's just you posting that thedope and if you really do have such delusions of grandeur, you could at least have run with it and changed your name.

    Over the next 48 hours,
    more than 80 thousand
    "Gods"
    will watch
    more than 17 thousand
    children
    starve to death.

Like as if he issued the request for Obama to post in this thread and Obama didn't respond it would be proof that Obama doesn't exist.

Interestingly mankind, who could do something about it, will watch those same children starve to death while hoping God will fix it for them so they don't have spend their own money on it.

Aside from the fact we can visibly see Obama on television and youtube, if not in person when he goes to different parts of the country to suggest we need not even prompt a question like this...

No one (certainly no one we would consider sane) is ascribing qualities such as "making the laws of nature" to Obama. We understand the obligations and limitations Obama has in his role as president and as a human in likely not being able to respond to such a request.

The fact that you have to retreat all the way 'down' to human standards here should be a huge red flag here when contemplating God's "powers."

Even if I granted God existence in some way, I did not expect God to respond to the test in this thread in the way I would not expect a cockroach to respond to the test in this thread. Why worship either of them?

I actually do insist , but just for the moment . Otherwise I am only aware that they exist . From
my experiences I only reason a few things of their nature and am patient with knowing more .

Likewisely , If you've been blessed by an intersected experience with god , it's polite to speak
of your knowing without elaboration and with the simple clarity that was just beyond the tearfulness .

Ok , everybody weep altogether . And then ? I'll be going to the springhead .

    Simple little question;
What was the last thing you thanked God for?

I was thinking. Imagine if Steve Jobs was put in an MRI machine. The MRI would show trillions of neurons firing in different parts of the brain, but beyond that it couldn't say much more. Now imagine if Steve Jobs at the time was thinking about a concept for the iPhone. To science what seemed like random firings of neurons was actually complex information. The same thing could be said for the entire universe.

    Oh.. lol

I'd probably go with Descartes on that one in response to the question.

Yeah right, God, that lazy bum, he has nothing better to do, not like Obama, so why doesn't he make personal appearances in threads like this on a regular basis.

I generally thank him every day for another day of life and for sunrise and sunsets. If I enjoy something I generally thank God for the ability to enjoy it.

We should expect to see brain activity or neural firings correlate with specific regions of the brain upon the activity or assessment.

If For instance, we asked Jobs to tell us about his idea, we should expect to see activity in the wernicke's and Broca's area.

So your characterizations of "random firings" is fairly off base.

If you're pointing to the notion that science at the moment cannot have someone hooked up to an fmri for their entire lives to follow every neuronal firing that has occurred to find that AHA! moment when Jobs came up with the iphone, you're probably right at the moment. Although depending on the progress of science, I can certainly imagine in the future, there being a type of fmri app for individuals who want to monitor their brain activity in the way there currently is for more autonomic functions.

So God gave you enjoyable days and pretty sunsets?

But 8.5 thousand children starving to death every day is all humans fault?

God puts us on a planet of carnivores and survival of the fittest and limited resources that we must fight over to survive...
But 8.5 thousand children starving to death every day is all humans fault.

That's why I think thanking God for trivial things like sunny days and tasty supper roasts is
    FUCKED UP
    and
    Total BULLSHIT!

I don't disagree one would say that, however if it is a theist who argues God has specific attributes which then are discredited with Neon's test, this proposition contradicts their arguments.

Me too. I have to be in a real philosophical mood to doubt my own existence :p
Same when picturing myself as (a) God/the creating force of the universe, although i can take both concepts serious and very intriguing to think and hypothetize about! Same with ideas relating to us being a part of God or us being the conscious part of the universe :)
