It was a thread with no actual topic of discussion. It was in full violation of forum guidelines, including the non descriptive title guideline.... since it didn't describe any topic of discussion.

Just like his follow up thread, "This will not be deleted" will also be deleted and will probably earn him a warning to knock the shit off...

it described a thread about his dream to have one of his threads stay alive, which is indeed a topic of discussion- whether or not that's an acceptable form of discussion is a whole other story.

I agree that his follow up thread is just playing with fire and asking for trouble and am still surprised that it hasnt been deleted yet.

Personaly, Id ilke to see a few more threads closed......then again, that leads to more crap threads.

 

I'm probably playing with fire here, but the same applies to banning. It generally leads to crap posters.

 

We'll agree to disagree, but anybody who's been here long enough has seen all kinds of those threads deleted and closed such as "Let's keep this on the front page" etc...

Id dissagree by suggesting they either go away after awhile or learn to play within the 'rules'. This however doesnt really improve the quality of the ones who stay...it does however get rid of the total trash posters.

The problem is right now the total blitz of bad posters, not a good enough ratio of vets to noobs, and not enough moderation (not the mods fault, he's too busy) to keep a balanced understanding of what is the community standard

then the loose language of the sticky, which may or may not have been intentional.
