well the folks who were walking those dogs this morning came by to let me know that the little pooch seems to be fine. she has a small pinpoint puncture on her hip and a scratch on her back, both superficial.
The man also apologized to me for how he acted and said he knows I did everything possible to control Buddy.
They said they may take it to the vet tomorrow depending on how it's doing. They are watching the dogs for friends on vacation and she said if it were her dog, she wouldn't bother with the vet or be very concerned.

I am relieved the little ankle biter is ok.

 

I am wondering how far away buddy came from. I know if I had a lil dog being attacked I would pick it up.

 

my dog chases bicyclists.....we get about 1 group at least every day down this road....idiots looking for a non-existent back way into our beach....he also raises some fusss when my neighbors come by on their horses....he stops the second I tell him to but it is still scary because it happens very fast


my dog crosses about 20 yards of grass in a couple of strides...he's on them before I can blink....

I never get md at him though....after I call him and he comes I always give him praise because he is doing exactly what I want him to do...keep people off my property and stop them from knocking on the door to ask if there is a back way into the beach haha
