I remember once I think they were fruit bats living in the ceiling of a shack we used to camp at on holidays in Australia and there was also a huge scary lethargic Python living their too. He wanted nothing to do with us and was barely seen, alright he wasn't scary, just a fuck off huge snake, so scary... >.> and anyway we'd see him at night. They're kinda cute really when you watch them...

Anyway the bats in the ceiling, the snake was so big and heavy that you could hear him hunt up there. Chasing the bats on the floor we'd hear thump thump thump. Thump thump thump as he rushed along the floor lifting his huge body up as he chased. And you'd hear that thump thump thump SNAP! Then there'd be silence for a while. Then it would start again.

It was actually an awesome experience to listen to when I think of it.

The Donnellys are a notorious family in the history of Canada, immigrated from Ireland I believe. A very interesting read if you are curious. The Donnellys are the subject of that particular song. I believe some of them probably spent some time in the Kingston penitentiary.

 

The song I know starts of with them. It is called "Justice in Ontario".

Basically that family is murdered and over a century things haven't changed much and violence still lives. Some bikie gang murders someone and the rest of the song is about finding the culprits and sentencing but the actual person who pulled the trigger tries to convince the jury he was the one but they aren't listening and just sentencing the bikie gang.

It's a 4 verse song by Steve Earle. one of my favs of his.

Well, the bat is out of the house... He hit the broom a little harder than I had planned. Knocked out cold.


I hope he's gonna be okay. Last I checked he's still moving, but not all there yet.

 

The bat has moved around some on the sawhorse I set him on, he's tucked his wings and turned around. He's breathing fine. He obviously doesn't like the flashlight shined in his eyes... Makes him blink.



But he's still just laying there.



EDIT: He's gone now... Must have flown off. Hope he gets a bazzilion mosquitoes tonight.

This late aft/evening I actually broke down and did some backyard work...using hedge clippers that need to be sharpened as a weed eater and up-potting/planting ALL the plants the fairies told me they just weren't going to do.

I was going to mow but it started to sprinkle so, I needed no other reason to quit that kinda thinking.

I've still gotta finish the bottoms of those stumps, lay the pebbles and get then get them turned back other.

I managed some dang how to turn both on their sides...I swear I don't think I can get those things back, and (hopefully) level on pebbles and sand.

My 6'4" muscles man son is just gonna have to do this for me. Its not that he really minds...its that he wants EVERYTHING in place before hand...no assing around or having to do stuff or anything extra when he's asked to do stuff, if that makes sense.

He can do anything and he knows I know that is the problem. lol

Not counting he has his own activities, job, and life outside of mom here.

 

When I know he's coming for a little visit, I have had little lists of little things for him (and huge for me) to do around here.

For you young to old and physically healthy and (especially - lol) tall men or tall women....I speak for all old shorter women -


When we need your help to easily and safely do shit and you help without a big deal...

im going to be late today cause Ive to deal with the police @130am cause the crotchfruit fucking assholes want to play with fireworks. ive already used my ****** word allowance up, but Ill just take it off the top the next time.... fucking niggers.. not only do they neglect their dogs and make the news sometime ago. constant annoyance from these fucking creeps .. then pretend like nobody is home when the police shown up, guess they want their door kicked in again by the police .. and the cops were going to break in their house til they come outside. then telling the police we didntdunuffin we was sleeping.
sleeeping yeah ok , fresh bottle rocket returns and you was sleeping. Nobody else would be doing this. And this is the 20th time Ive had to use the police since the beginning of summer/spring. fucking assholes can buy fireworks but cant pay for electricity or tags on their cars ...... fucking section 8 scum .. Ive to go I am already late as it is.. Ive a headache a mile wide.

 

this is one of the books on the biker part of that song...I enjoyed the read....very factual written by a reporter...I recommend it to kill a couple nights of easy reading
