1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

so weeds are being pulled. getting the boy up early, and then i will help in between feedings. i got a blister yesterday doing too much, go figure. so we pull, and pull and pull. then we can rake back the woodchips and start laying landscape cloth, at least in the front most section. need enough concrete blocks to go along the sidewalk, and start the bottom of the fencing line, 4 feet in. then can pour boiling water on the remaining weeds to kill them, and use the woodchips on top of the cloth. it will kill the microbiome, but i just have to suck it up, its better than using roundup. that first section will be actual yard progress, the main section just has to be weeded down. hell, we could ultimately do the raised beds all around the yard and sod the inside. its hard to make these big decisions. but the weeds have to be down before the 4th.

im not good at scheduling. i need to drive so that things can be accomplished easier. have to get 2 cars, and my license. need a job. need the littlest family member to tolerate breast milk from a bottle, there seems to be no fooling him. its such a waste every time i warm some for him. but our routines are getting established, hes up about every 3 hours, and cluster feeds at least once a day. then i chase the boob with formula.

gotta make mac and cheese. hubby is cooking the rest of dinner. he picked up a shift at work for tomorrow. school will be starting soon. where does the damn time go?

i dont have time to take it easy. i walked about 4 and a half miles 4 days postpartum. i figure if i was going to hemorrhage it would have been then. kid is 2 weeks old tomorrow. my 6 week check-up will be set up for the first week of september. i need to go back to work, or start making things and selling them. mama dont have time to screw around. so many people have helped us out with money, because i asked, as shameful as i find it. we dont need the baby stuff, i didnt want a baby shower, or to set up a registry. but man, its helping so much to at least get the overdues handled. to knock down those low balances. i have dental work to get done too, and i cant until we can pay down the last dental work. and hubby isnt done getting his scaling done. i need scaling, 2 teeth pulled (my choice, dentist would rather save them) and probably one crown. $$$$$$$ pissing it away. stuff that needs doing. its time for me to do it. im not waiting for anyone else.

plus, i cant say that i did it unless i do it. im a stubborn badass... my yard will be achieved. my financial goals will be achieved. what are those things compared to my vbac? what are my fears in comparison to the fear of rupture? i mean, the worst thing for me right now is leaving the baby to nap in peace, not watching his every breath. thats far more difficult than any chores. ptsd is fun! distract! redirect!

You're gone be one of these gals who loses all the baby weight and you'll be jogging with your pram in a sports bra 3 months after birth while the rest of the women in the world will be like -.- in envy.

    :D

I read somewhere some east euro model was being attacked over a photo of her running with a pram. I saw the picture. I mean I don't care, do what you want with what you got, if you looked after yourself and you're skinny after birth good for you! So I don't get it lol. But apparently this is not a realistic image of a mother who's just given birth.

I've only ever eaten roo meat in Austria at an Australian pub where they claimed to have kangaroo burgers. So IF it was even roo, that's all I had. It's a great little pub in Vienna though, nice hardwood everywhere and a great resteraunt downstairs. Has all this Aussie beer I'd never seen in Australia. :D also has Bundy Rum which is my fav. drink and it's hard to find and often hugely expensive when you do find it.

Luckily my family ships me bottles regularly. Along with a few other bits and pieces I miss in the boring land of Oz.
