The gnats have been heavy here. I'm thinking maybe they are coming in from the water that the window unit a/c's produce.

I feel quite sick and nauseous atm. I think the flu is coming back I was very sore in my shoulders earlier, usually signs of fever and ache. It feels worse to be like this in summer. =\

I've been battling them with the old vinegar and dish soap in a bowl. The bowls catch alot but they keep coming. I think each female can hatch 300 at a time. We don't have that many but take out anything to eat or drink and several are right there to bother you.

Paint something important... there will be about ten thousand gnats stuck in the paint in less than 30 seconds...

I've been noticing more gnats than ever here in the house, which is something that is new to bothering us inside.

About air conditioners: we have 2 window units which I think are designed to be just pushed out the window when they quit working. seriously. As far as an ac tray...the water drips out the back (which of course drips outside)...and I have no idea about an ac tray. :)

built in ones should have a drain to sump no sitting water

fridges have a pan underneath that is usually heated to evaporate the water after defrost cycle

my window one didnt drain well when it was brand new...they forgot to make a hole in the styro tray....the damn thing would fill up the outside until the fan blades started hitting the water

Im pretty sure you nailed it. Ive not seen one since.

lynn.. window ac are not serviceable , they havent been fixed for years because they build them to toss out when no longer working. of course an hvac tech can fix them but its useless and a waste of time. usually anyone saying they can fix your window ac is a con-artist. just gives it back to you the way you gave it to them.. 90% of them havent a service valve to install gas ..

if you give it some tilt out the window all the water should go the back and drain out. Its a good idea to take the ac apart once a year, and brush your coils, clean your filter,, rinse with a hose and give the blower a little bit of 3in1oil .. satan had a shitty ac leaking water into the house. i gave it a pinhole let all the gas out. so she had to buy a new one..

I pretty much figured there was no way to gas up these units we have...I'm actually surprised they've continued to work as long as they have. Thanks for confirming what I thought. :)

Your solution to satan's ac =

The a/c in our kitchen widow started spitting and raising hell one day. I just went out and removed the stopper from the drain hole. Easy fix. Hubby left it in when he installed the unit.

Talk about weird and energy and stuff like that....either I am going insane or life is insane.....Here last night I saw a very young deer on my property....and Orison says there were young deer on his property he was going to take. I got upset, of course, as I do for all living things....and today.....on the main road here...half a mile away from me......a young deer was hit by a car...I heard about it and picked up its tail tonight on the road....all that was left after it was carted away.I guess. I had to wonder if that was the young deer I saw last night and it was taken by misfortune....:(

and I guess it is how I want to look at things, too....but it is all just starting to feel like...nothing is going to surprise me anymore about this life.

I picked up its tail to take if off of the road and put it in the grass away from the road.....Too much heartbreak lately. I am completely numb tonight

Has anybody here ever had their ears candled?

I want to do this....and Mama needs to have this done on a fairly regular basis (as far as I'm concerned).

Supposedly one isn't supposed to use q-tips, even though I have no idea any other way to get stuff out of there. Some time ago when I bought this "ear cleaner" which was a little cup like thing, it did NOT work. Unless the wax is at the very dang edge of the ear, as in it being visible just glancing at the outer part, the little plastic cup ear cleaner is not going to do anything.

I use the cotton buds. Read many times online that ear candles don't work like suggested. Though I have been thinking about trying one or seeing a doctor because my left ear often seems to have moisture in it and blocks. I yawn and cough and stick fingers in there and it goes. Then comes again. Been like that for a couple months ago. I wear a left ear bud for my music when I'm out and about, maybe that's doing something? I know the ear bud is suction and when pushed in you can feel more pressure.
