My stomach is so angry at the moment I am highly considering a alcohol free weekend. And then I laugh because LOL. Yeah right. :D

Pub today for pool practice. Pub Sunday for my first pool comp. I'll need drinks just to calm down and sharpshoot.

But if I play as good as I've been practicing I think I'll be in good shape and for some reason I generally play better on the pub tables. I think it's because it's darker and a dim environment over my 4 light burners in the garage that make everything reflect brightly. Bright lights and bright shines are the main thing that bothers my eye site because the light flare is so bad and sometimes I cannot see through it or over it.

    Another good day for Buddy.
Hung out at the park with many people and dogs around and he only got excited a couple of times to the point I had to tell him "your done!" (that's his "stop this shit immediately" command) and each time he stopped acting up.
There was one thing he did that kinda surprised me, but not really considering his breed and I'm not at all unhappy about it.
    We were kicking back under a tree and he was all laid out relaxing;
notice the big shit eating "my belly just got rubbed" grin...

as we were sitting there an old friend of the wife's came by with his granddaughter (the wife used to be her troop leader) and he came over to say hi and when he reached his hand out to shake mine, Buddy bolted up, got between him and I and pushed him in the knee hard enough to make him step back, and let his presence definitely be known. Once I told Buddy it was ok and he picked up that I was cool he turned back into his slobbering happy go lucky self and enjoyed the new human to pet him.
But darn, nice to know he has my back and I pity the fool who would actually try something with Buddy at my side.
He has really begun to show this defensive behavior a lot more, probably only because I am forcing him into more "social" situations.
But on top of everything he is responding to my commands pretty much with no issue and if he doesn't, the "YOUR DONE!" has proven effective in all situations whether he is mauling another animal, refusing to get in the car, or decides he wants to go that way instead of this way.....LOL

Reassuring to know, because I still get the heebie-jeebies sometimes when his face is inches from mine and I think, "if he wanted to.....I wouldn't stand a chance" LOL

my best friend has joined the club. I was sad to hear it.

men who love sex with women, but have stopped dating because of all the bullshit that seems to come up. I admire those who have been married for decades and are happy.

I think the cellphone has ruined social contact.

Before the cell phone, a house for the average family had 1 phone, and someone would call and you meet or you don't for a BBQ or something.

No we have to play phone tag and nobody shows up cause they are still discussing shit over the phone. If the cell phone died people would be out making shit happen, now they just gossip.

I hate cellphones so fucking much, people at work bring out their phone and such times, dog get that shit out, the fuck man.

People at grocery stores now I see them wearing who hands free phone depending on their position at the store.

DOES YOUR PHONE TELL YOU THE CURE TO BRAIN CANCER, READ ABOUT THE STATISTICS ABOUT THE CLIMB IN THAT CANER SINCE.

I hate society, if I ever get old ima be the grumpy old man.

Nooo then my heart beat increases and when my heart beat increases I can feel it effect my accuracy because I can feel my whole chest heaving, it make my cueing not straight. Also I'm a half chill when playing but if I lose I immediately get a rush of blood. Or even when I win really not sure if it's alcohol related, because run heats my blood up to. But I have high pressure on myself for this pool comp. I genuinely think I am better than the rest. :)

    thanks
yeah, I do get some odd looks and folks will sometimes avoid us, especially when he has the muzzle on.

as far as them meeting, nice idea but I fear it wouldn't end well.

I haven't watched any pool of YouTube for a while because it almost completely ruined my game. See, when I got my table I knew I needed to train and practice so I looked up training exercises because it's actually difficult to learn when you keep trying to ay 8 ball. Balls get in the way etc. and you get frustrated. So I trained with 7 balls down the centre and started pocketing them in any order. So then I started watching snooker techniques and then went and recorded myself play. Straight away I saw a huge problem from myself to what the pros do so I tried to correct this and for weeks I completely lost control of what I was doing. My friend said its because I had a new table and inevitably I'd be trying things I'd never tried before. That made some sense because it was exactly that, I was trying new things but I also stepped away from my natural game which I wasn't so bad at to begin with. So then past few months have all been about keeping my natural game, but include a couple of techniques to progress my game further. The end result is what I call the sharpshooter. I've now learned to cue straight and the if my aim is right, a firm stroke and good follow through make the balls travel more accurately. But this has also had its flaws for me because before I learned this I was pocket weight shooter, if I didn't sink the ball is leave it over the pocket. But I've now learned that the slower you shoot a ball, the felt, the English (spin) and the nap of the felt play a huge impact on how that ball moves and rolls down the table. So hard straight shooting was accurate and rolling a ball slow wasn't. And I completely forgot how to pocket weight I'm getting better though at bringing this back to my game.
Another thing I noticed was before the a pro cues the white, he takes a brief pause before pushing the cue into the white. That's the first thing I noticed I wasn't doing. So I've had to really think about it while I play but it makes an enormous difference in the outcome. See before I'd set the cue and I'd go forward, back, forward, back x7 then hit it quickly but doing so quickly makes the cue too sometimes miss the centre and that makes the cue ball drift offline farther on down the table but cue aiming, then I like to the think the long draw back is like a bullet being pushed into the chamber by the bolt, then the brief pause, maybe a second and then SMACK and a good follow through. Keeping my eye on the cue ball through the whole shot and when I do this, I know if I miss or sink a ball immediately before anything is done. I also know straight away if I'll miss. I'm learning all that hehe. It's like a big science. :D

My cousin and his wife are pregnant. He was the only one who would speak to me on that side of the family growing up. I hope it works out but he's developed a serious alcohol/coke problem. He denies it to me but this not what my sister says and not what I can see. He has a good job and can afford it though. He's also second only to Jesus on that Catholic side of the family so no one but me wants to admit it. He seems to have changed a lot and looks worn down. I'm also pissed at him because he abandoned his dog because the wife gf at the time did not like it and bought a new on a year later. Did he forget about the old one? I guess she picked the new one.
