I'm with you on the damn sorriness of abandoning his dog...of all the stupid things I've done (and its a long list by this time in my life), I cannot imagine abandoning an animal because a mate didn't like it...that would be the kind of thing that would open my eyes to the jackass - be it a friend or a mate.

 

I've been reading American Sniper for a while...in fact, I've read at least 10 books since I first started this book.

mercysakes...it is so difficult to me not just because its about war and not fiction; but its Kyle's mind-set I guess I wasn't expecting. BUT and at the same time, I know and realize his mind-set is the only one he could have in order to be a good/successful (totally badass ) Seal and sniper.

But I'm going to finish it...its just hard, and no matter what notions I had going into this read...I'm still finding it disturbing in a way I wasn't prepared for.

 

When I got married in 1970 the man I was about to marry was afraid of dogs because he was bitten as a child. I knew that I could not marry someone who did not like dogs, so I gave him a puppy as a wedding present. The marriage only lasted a few years but the last time I saw him he had three dogs. I always felt that maybe the marriage did not last but at least I did something good. I gave him a lifelong love of dogs.

I went to a doctor for the first time in years. I picked the closest one who took my insurance because I figured that would be the easiest. The first thing they say is they are "faith based" and won't prescribe be Viagra or birth control. Wouldn't Viagra encourage the whole be fruitful and multiply?

My medical marijuana card is listed as "marijuana abuse" on their questionnaire. The doc told me they don't recognize that as medicine and I am going to go schizophrenic. Have I ever considered quitting? I said no and he seemed uneasy. Then he asked would I like to have a prayer to be healed? I think I am only non-faith patient he has. It's not that I don't believe in the possibility of a higher power but I also follow science. Buddhism is pretty much the only one that is open to science changing what they think. He seems like a nice guy but I don't think I belong there. But despite my "abuse" my cholesterol is 120 and everything else is well in the range of being healthy at least.

 

Ffs there is a gas company digging not far away can't get away from these fucking beeping trucks no how..
