I find suits uncomfortable but necessary in certain situations... Women seem to pay me more attention when I wear a suit, so I guess you could say I like wearing suits.
I have never owned a suit, and don't intent to. I'm not a fan of them at all. I've rented a few tuxedo's for weddings, but only because I was best man.
Not really, its worth it for the " I am a businessman and incredibly sexy too" look , I gotta wear it anyways .
I wear it for a living, it gives the image and does the job. Apart from that I dont see a point in wearing one.
ehhhh, everyone should wear kilts then. that will solve the problem. seriously, ever try pantyhose? try putting them on right after getting out of the shower? not an easy task. now those things suck. but at the same time, they are good. catch 22. i like my guy to wear a suit every now and again, and i like him to wear t-shirt and jeans too. just something different from what he always wears. but i'm not a big fan of his choice of clothes anyway. he has to wear it not me though. i just got a new job this week. everything i read said not to wear a pantsuit because i'm a female. well i could not find (at any store that i could afford because i was unemployed, duh) a skirted suit. i went to 3 different malls, and nothing. then not only did i get the job (because of my skills not because of my suit... they wanted to hire me before they met me after reading my resume), i was told that business casual for men is pants, a polo shirt, no tie. great for them. for women, the guy said it was complicated, but basically you still have to wear nice slacks and a blouse or a suit or a dress. you can't get away with khakis and polo. plus they keep it freezing in the office. but hey the men don't care they aren't wearing skirts/dresses.
ugggghhhhh suites..suites nooooo way you'll ever catch me in 1 again if only we had a tie burning movement like the bra burning movement
I'd prefer to be at the bra burning fest but yeah I could do tie burning too - as long as I don't end up like the guy on the cover of 'wish you were here'
I've worn suits at office jobs, no big deal. The executive type feels being dressed up give him an agressive edge and gains motivation from within. For the low concept view: A Clockwork Orange and note the obsession with fashion and appearance as a wellspring of aggresion. True enough, even The Kitty expends tremendous energy and attention to detailing her appearance, even mere beasts understand presentation of self as a key to gaining status in a hirearchy. In The Devil Wears Prada we witnessed the power of presentation of self as a source of income and status. We are of this world and this is a fact of life.
wearing a suit makes me feel so much more sophisticated. i have a really nice brooks bros. suit i got at goodwill for 12 dollars.
