  6. Clinton fights climate change? She's been a steady supporter of fracking. Fracking is terrible for the environment. Worse than coal mining, and she wants to put coal miners out of work. Makes sense.

Every single thing she has ever done is a consequence of being a career politician and never the consequence of actually giving a damn about anyone. She wants power and consequently some good things must happen in her name, or she'll never get the power she wants, and that's the whole of the story.

But I digress, this conversation is pointless. Fucked up.

Don't talk to me about fracking and coal mining. I've lived through fracking and coal mining. My father mined coal, I've played in mines, coal dust, and slag heaps, on gas wells and gas transmission lines. I sold my house because of coal mining and fracking.

One of my neighbors mined coal for 50 years and he had nothing good to say about coal mining, mines, or the owners.

Coal mines are going away nothing anyone can do about it, and fracking sucks because it's not regulated enough, it'll be around until we can get reliable solar and wind. Deal with it.

    From the Boston Globe:

WASHINGTON - Hillary Clinton, who has frequently described herself on the campaign trail as playing a pivotal role in forging a children's health insurance plan, had little to do with crafting the landmark legislation or ushering it through Congress, according to several lawmakers, staffers, and healthcare advocates involved in the issue.

. . . But privately, some lawmakers and staff members are fuming over what they see as Clinton's exaggeration of her role in developing SCHIP, including her campaign ads claiming she "helped create" the program. The irritation has grown since Nov. 1, when Clinton - along with fellow senators and presidential candidates Barack Obama, Chris Dodd, and John McCain - missed a Senate vote to extend the SCHIP program, which was approved without the votes of those lawmakers.

She didn't craft it, she supported it, pushed for funding, argued for it within the White House at Ted Kennedy's request.

If you want to argue over who had the most influence...go to it. Hillary did at least do some good.

Just as you'll have to deal with the fact that many people won't support a politician who supports fracking, right?

What is wrong with you lol... Deal with fracking instead of supporting candidates who support green initiatives? That's such a good attitude to have, with more people like you America can just stagnate forever instead of catching up with the rest of the first world!

Sorry for the personal attack but I find it so irritating that people support the Democrats for supporting the same right wing Neo liberal policies the Republican party supports! Its insanity .

Yes, they decided that Gulf War Syndrome was stress related. Here is something on that:

George H.W. Bush’s determination to punish Iraq led to the Gulf War illnesses, but Clinton was responsible for the cover-up of how those illnesses developed. Shortly after Veterans Day, Hillary Clinton told an audience at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas that one of her priorities in the second term would be to work on issues related to these Gulf War illnesses. Indeed it was Hillary who pushed in the spring of 1995 for the creation of this same presidential panel that eventually laid the blame on stress, the relief of which became the First Lady’s therapeutic project, though as the years unscrolled less-and-less was heard from her on this thorny eruption of mass “psycho-somatic” illnesses.

The report of the presidential commission could hardly be called scientific, since the results of a hundred epidemiological studies, which the panel commissioned, have not yet been processed. In other words, the only stones not left unturned by Clinton were those used to conceal what happened in 1991.

Another finding of the presidential commission proved highly pertinent. The nine-person panel said emphatically that the Pentagon ca not be trusted to investigate itself. The panel called for an independent probe of whether Allied forces in the gulf in 1991 had been exposed to chemical and biological weapons. Previous Pentagon investigations, they wrote, “have lacked vigor, fallen short on investigative grounds, and stretched credibility.” Clinton gave this recommendation short shrift, saying that he believed Defense Secretary Bill Perry “has moved in an expeditious fashion.” Clinton endorsed the Pentagon’s position that it alone had the technical expertise to exhume the truth in this affair.

I have no problem with that.

Trump claims he will bring back coal, restoring all the jobs lost to natural gas supplies. That is patently unrealistic. Coal is dirty, dangerous, and on its way out. It's reported that coal production peeked in 2013.
He favors more oil drilling and fracking, canceling the Paris Climate Agreement, he denies climate change due to humans, and supports installing Supreme Court Justices who will strike down regulation of energy producers and climate agreements.

Clinton supports environmentally safe fracking as a current option for any state or locality that wants it. She doesn't support it if it releases methane or contaminants water supplies. She supports mandatory disclosure of the chemicals used in fracking.
She supports solar energy aiming at 1/2 billion new panels in four years.
She supports total residential renewable energy within 10 years.
    Factsheet

I don't see it that way.
