I don't like that Christianity has turned so political in the last couple of decades. I'm not a Christian but I was raised as a Christian and I was always taught - actually probably not taught, even as a child I always followed my own interpretation of the bible so I guess I should say from my interpretation I believed Christianity should be treated in a very humble, personal manner. Christians should render to Caesar that which is Caesar's and otherwise should turn inward and away from the secular/political world. Sometimes even as a non believer I feel like I am a better Christian than some of these evangelicals, lol.

In other news trump has decided he might not participate in the last debate before the Iowa caucus because Ms. Kelly will be moderating. What a baby he is.

 

It's true. All religions, at their core, teach the exact same thing: love your neighbor, do unto others, others' success should count as your own success. They call for unity, not division. Christianity follows the teachings of a good and noble human being that has been distorted and corrupted over the years by people wanting power and riches. Jesus, Buddha, Muhammud... They all taught the same damn thing! Come together! People like Trump are trying to get us to divide ourselves up instead of becoming one unified species devoted to helping one another grow and evolve.

 

He's a man-child.

Someone commented that this might be the first real "bad decision" of his campaign, since every other outrageous move seems to have gained him more support, somehow.

 

Uh..no they did not. And for their respective times, each of those faiths did some kind of raping and pillaging of other cultures as well with their own religions.

So nope, it was always a "come together" version AFTER we have destroyed all our enemies and put "evil" from among us.

Don't whitewash the history of religion that are now considered mainstream. It justified actions that are considered now to be barbaric and heinous.

Feminism would not work back then, neither the concept of slavery being illegal, sex slavery, super early marriages and consummation of marriages at like age 9-12, with perhaps non-intercourse sexual acts preformed earlier (hymen and hymen blood = virginity and all to them).

In the case of Christianity, science was held back, especially in theories relating to the geologic time scale.

Also in the case of the Bible, when you have many versus in Revelation talking about a false deception, of "togetherness" it actually fuels people that are Donald Trump supporters, because I bet you a lot of them have been influenced by the NWO conspiracy theories that have a large foothold in End Time prophecy.

Doesn't help that NASA just said that there's a 9th planet out there in our solar system, and Nibiru and planet X people have been claiming another planet was there to begin with when NASA (I scientific body who is supposed to know their facts) said they were all wrong and stupid and crazy.

Well when you get reversals like that, it chains on down, and those who probably are genuine ignorants, feel vindicated and prideful, and that their hearts and feelings guide them better than logic and their critics say.

Hence why Trump's support is so loyal. All of logic's lifeline's are used up to sway the political momentum.

If nobody would want him he would not be rallying. He's apparently representing a big minority of your fellow countrymen. If he would disappear through such a means nothing would change for the better. . He's just catering to a certain group of people (in a nasty populist way which certainly is worthy to condemn) who would probably also follow an even more extremist sounding candidate if (s)he just happen to be able to push the right buttons.

 

How about if the media stopped paying so much attention to him.

It would cost them a lot of money. Ratings mean advertising dollars. Studies show that tens of millions of viewers surf the cable TV news channels until they find a Donald Trump story. They just can't get enough of him. Even people who hate him wants to hear everything he has to say, so they can disagree with it. He has become the hero of every narcissist in America, and the number one enemy of everybody who hates narcissists.

WOW. Sometimes this board is just as extreme as some candidates and their followers are.

It is clear this board is heavily left and will not budge.

 

Yea its definitely getting scary. But the person who is elected as President is a reflection of the people. So there are a lot of people in America who are "scary".

 

Even Barry Goldwater stated he didn't want the support of the Ku Klux Klan!

 

17 pages deep for a man the sheep hate! Nuff said! America will be great again! Believe it or not, only thing getting 'burned' is a nut job and the other choice has more American kills under her belt now it pathetic.

The true/real hope and change is coming! Paid for, by the man himself!

 

The Trump haters simply want something or someone to whine about, but remember how when Barack obama was running, his narcicism and underhanded practices didn't bother any of them in the least. Down in Biloxi, Mississippi recently, the man drew a crowd of thirty thousand people, he actually has a chance at getting in the oval office and it has them upset, I couldn't be happier about it either. I'm not saying he'll solve all our problems, but I doubt the world will get any worse because he gets the job. He could have been just another spoiled and rich kid squandering away the money, whicgh his parents kicked him down, yet he didn't, he turned around and built himself a buisness empire with it, that is quite impressive.

 

He didn't build anything. He is only rich because he can afford to loose money but he has not made a net profit on anything in his life. He would be richer had he just been a trust fund kid and done nothing. I know Republicans have a very skewed view of Obama and they want and need him to be a dictator but it's simply not true. "Narcissism" huh? Didn't see that all and if that is an issue for you you are picking Trump think about that for a moment. What people respect is his attitude is that not extremely narcissistic?

So these people are all enjoying the moment because they envision Democrats are getting as upset as they did in the last two elections. They are upset for different reasons but yeah I will give you that if you wish take some joy in someone's misery. To disagree with one's politics is one thing but to be legitimately concerned about the hate and stupidity is another. He is making people believe the solution to all the problems of the world can be traced back to one race.The things you wish were true about Obama are true of Trump. My only hope is the Bern shall be felt.
