No, these are considered to be private events. Free speech doesn't apply.

On the other hand, inciting a riot is a felony, regardless of whether it's a public or private event. Before long, somebody will get seriously injured at one of these rallies. I hope Trump will get arrested.

To protest before an audience of het up rednecks is never a good idea. OR-----maybe it's the best idea? His devotees are obviously the kind of people that operate on high emotion that leads to unreasonableness. Violence is boiling just below the surface and he stokes it by making protestors--'the other.'

I think most can now see what the blabbing 24/7/365 talking heads on Fox, with Limbaugh, Hannity, Larson, Weiner, on their shows have wrought. Talk their kind of shit for 25 years and this has brought us the T-party, recalcitrant, bull-headed legislators and Citizens United, bought and paid for by the Kochs and their machine/s.

I'll come right out and say it-------those are some dumb and dangerous motherfuckers!!

    AND THEY'RE GOING TO VOTE!!!

Yes they are, and taking/making America what it once was!

Chicago is a shit hole handout capital, no surprise about the bitch and whiners there. Plus the cemeteries getting their dem/lib vote ready like past centuries.

They will try all they can to slow it, but numbers don't lie! I'm more than sure some blm's got their head cracked open in Chicago, they talk shit about cops, sorry about the riot stick along side your head! That's the part you won't hear and is warranted!

I have heard several people in real life talk about why they like Donald trump, and it is because many Americans are fed up with the illegals coming into this country, and not going through the proper channels to become a citizen here......I can understand that appeal about DT.....No other country in the world just has a free for all flood gates opened......but I will not be voing for Donald Trump.

The thing that really bothers me about the illegal immigration issue is you hardly hear anyone comment on the fact that there is a job market for them so that's why they come. I seriously doubt trump has never employed cheap illegal labor for constructing his buildings.

But I guess it's easier to blame poverty stricken people wanting a better life than it is to blame their employers who would rather pay a Mexican $5 an hour than pay an American $20.

I am not blaming anyone. The rest of us have to abide by the laws of the land.....and not all flooding into this country are looking for honest, stay out of trouble lives, are they? Many are forming gangs and things and making things worse....some of them.....Don't lay that on me....

Why have laws, if only some have to abide by them then? get rid of all laws.

Also, I was telling you here what the general feeling in the streets is.....and what Donald's appeal is...like it or not....that is what it boils down to.

That wasn't really directed at you, just in general at any American I've ever heard talk about illegal immigration without placing the blame where it should be.

It, like many problems in this country, goes back to profitable businesses wanting to increase their profit at the expense of the average American.

Disrupting Trump rallies may seem fun to some, but it just gives Trump and Rush Limbaugh a way to tell their followers they are being persecuted. Disruption fuels the Right's memes.

Imagine if Trump people came to Bernie Sander's rallies and disrupted.

Donald Trump cancelled the rally, not the police, not the protesters.

The police were not consulted and they reported that they had the situation in control and felt there was no danger.

There was no imposition of freedom of speech.

You're splitting hairs. The people forming a blockade around the venue were there to exert hostility in an effort to shut down the event. They certainly weren't there for love were they now? Trump shut it down to mitigate anyone being injured, so he made the right choice in the face of an effort to silence him. That actually demonstrates more character than a mob ever will.

The fact this was clearly orchestrated by dubious opposition connections is pretty disgusting as well. I wonder if the "protesters" will ever come to realize how they are being used. And by whom!

Corporations answer to shareholders, I get that. But at what point does the good of the nation they reside in and depend upon for a living come into play? Sure, if we want to follow the finest edge on the matter a company would be allowed to replace American workers with foreign workers and absolutely justify it by saying that it's cheaper to pay a Mexican $3 per hour than to pay an Americans $20 per hour for the same work. What I mean is that being a good corporate citizen needs to be a lot more than just building a park here and there. At some point the condition of the society they operate in needs to be considered and supported.

Are you really talking about Chicago "rednecks"? And isn't Redneck a bigoted ethnic slur? We'll never get a handle on this while it's still ok to shit on people because of their skin color.

Just having the existing laws enforced would solve the problem. But suggesting that will likely get me called a "racist". To them I ask, what nation will allow Americans to just walk in and set up camp uninvited? And how long can this continue before the nation is no longer viable as the USA? But asking that question leads to being labeled as a "racist" as well. Which is silly since "American" is not a race at all. Neither is Mexican!

Oh, I thought there was something called Freedom of Assembly. I must have the wrong copy of the Constitution.

The police certainly had no complaints and thought that it was an orderly protest or they would have recommended action against the protesters.

Redneck is not an ethic slur. Redneck refers to rural people having rednecks from being out in the sun.

It was first used against Democrats.

In this context it is certainly an offensive ethnic slur and you know it. I'm from California and I can smell out that obvious rat.

That's comical, Chicago cops going out of their way to protect anyone. They have perfected the fine art of looking the other way and scrubbing events out of existence.
