Anti-Trump Republicans to launch swing-state ad buy
    By Kyle Cheney, Politico

Anti-Trump Republicans are preparing to launch a broadcast TV ad in a handful of swing-state suburbs urging Donald Trump to quit the presidential race so the party can replace him with a more electable nominee. The ad, titled "Keep Your Word," features footage of Trump during the Republican primary in which he suggested he'd drop out if he saw his poll numbers decline.

"Number one, I'm not a masochist, and if I was dropping in the polls where I saw I wasn't going to win, why would I continue?" Trump said in an October NBC interview featured in the ad. A graphic displaying political handicappers' predictions of a landslide Trump loss accompanies his remarks. The ad ends with a plea: "Resign the nomination. Let the RNC replace you so we can beat Hillary."

Not a problem Sir, by all means join the show, besides, you're at a very safe distance from it. There was a time in the US when humor in politics was at the top of the news. Now it's all about the political violence and you have to dig deep or go off the beaten path from the "major" news services. These days people are using politics as a convenient excuse to destroy property and attack fellow Americans. Both parties seem to be feeding this division.

This time around Americans aren't using car bumper stickers. The only ones I seem to see these days are old Obama stickers. I haven't seen more than 5 for Hillary. And I see none for Trump. This isn't because either has a lack of support. Nor does it prove that Hillary is "ahead". What it says is that people who support Trump do not trust Hillary supporters, again fellow Americans, not to vandalize their car. And like it or not, most of the damage and physical conflicts are led by street-level democrats, not those nasty old republicans.

    For me, there's the humor..............................
So if Hillary deleted 30,000 emails about her Yoga hobby, where's her tight booty and confident walk?

    And then, there's this [IMG]

And so continues the saga about the clusterfuck that is the 2016 Presidential Election.

I was at a street fair last week and there was a booth for Hillary Clinton. They asked me if I'd like a free pin or bumper sticker and I said "No thanks. I'll vote for her as the lesser of two evils but it's still a vote!"

Yes I hate the idea of voting for the lesser of two evils. Yes it is still voting for evil. But when the greater of two evils would be an incompetent and deranged despot then we need to stop him. Hillary would be competent, less deranged and she know what boundaries not to cross. (I trust she's been taken aside and taught what she can and can't do with her emails) That's why I'm voting for her, and no I don't feel good about it. I can't believe America has come to this.

Many (?) years from now people could be discussing the rise and fall of the United States of America and will likely point out the 2016 election as when things really started going downhill.

I hope history proves me to be a pessimist.

Unfortunately if too many people take that attitude then Trump could be elected and then we're fucked.

    Then we're all fucked

Most people tend to "vote for the lesser evil", and then when we end up with evil again they turn round and blame the ones who didn't vote.

I can see where the problem is right there.

Goldman Sachs is now preventing their employees from donating to Trump.

Don't they realize that as the most unpopular corporation in the world, this makes Trump look better?

No it doesn't, the ban is to prevent breaking pay to play rules and includes all donations to anyone holding a state or local government office.
Pence, Trump's running mate, is a state governor, so that rules out contributing to Trump's campaign.

Hillary doesn't hold an office and Kane holds a Federal office, so the pay for play doesn't apply to them.

We have a front row seat for the death of irony. Irony has become so common it has lost decades of impact. Kinda like some words that are tossed about so casually these days.

A couple weeks ago Trump was out of it, but now the polls have tightened up. If Hillary does get elected I hope she runs the country better than she's run her campaign.
