I can see where you're coming from. But,I love The Byrds.Eight Miles High is terrific.A friend of mine who worships Dylan, cant stand Donovan.Says he writes nursery rhymes.

i had to be pretty high to wanna listen to donovan's tunes.i kinda see what your friend is talking about.but in the 60's those tunes were in.have some mellow songs on get high....dylan's stuff i like most anytime.i've liked all of them except a couple tunes(forever young).i always felt that tune had great commercial potential.and have never been able to stand it.although otherwise planet waves was a fine album....i think mcquinn and company the byrds did a good job covering dylan and did it as fans themselves....what i remember of the turtles i liked ok

Is "Catch the Wind" by Donovan? I love that song.
I used to like "Universal Soldier" when I was a rabid anti-war activist in high school. :p

whos your favorite beatle and why ?
Mines george. The shy one. The one who found himself out of most of them through his music after they broke up, i love playing (or trying to play) his songs.. they are tough because he made up his own chords.. amazing, amazing man..

    what about you

Sorry but I seemed to have missed you.Was quite late last night so had to hit the sack.John is my fav with George a close second.
I love John for his music and his anti establishment stance. His surrelistic songs like Walrus and Strawberry Fields move me.
George wrote some wonderful music. All things Must Pass is a great album. My fav John solo track has to be Gimmee Some Truth.Fantastic.
I also love Johns humour. His books express a love of Lear,Carroll and even Spike Milligan.Have you read the books|?
