This is a better version of my rave drawing. I made it a couple years back. Its not super realistic, but I did it as a study in the movement of dancing figures and whatnot. I'm gonna do a few more sketches of people dancing soon and maybe add some psychedellia to them... and my Pengebogaran ritual dagger unsheathed: (Not my artwork, but its very old and handcrafted and I consider it a form of art)

I made this acrylic today> I haven't painted in years so it turned out reasonably well. It's not finished, but its supposed to be a little bit fauvist. its not good lighting but IRL my eyes are way more red. I look shtoned as fuck.
a lion i drew: after I coloured this one, I didn't like the final affect. How would you do the rest of the colours on this, or would you just skip the black/purple all together and go with a different colour scheme? ...and this is a mushroom cap:
Try dark green and leave the other bits white? Maybe sub the green for yellow, but the yellow can sometimes be a bit much with purple unless you can alter and balance the tones.. but looks like that's done in felt tip? so probably can't do much colour mixing.. Possibly even use both yellow and green, and leave out the white? Dunno! Wouldn't stick with the same colour scheme though, it'll drown out the dude(ette) in the centre. Try some stuff out on a scrap bit of paper I'd like to see that finished though, cos I quite like that denseness of colour. And I dig the lion and those toms.. and the guitar girl. Think I missed those before. Patterns are badass That cap looks tasty too :drool5: and so do the drawings around it!
I think I'm gonna colour this one in soon (but I'm gonna start with a fresh copy of the original, none of that black and purple dull shit). It might get me back into drawing as it has been a while. I'm gonna look for more old ones to post though as well. And I only posted the girl and the finished toms today. The girl is a new one, did it really quickly though, and candid, so she was moving her head a lot. I'd love to really focus and draw this chick though, she's much more loveyly than I do her justice, and a good singer to boot. BTW, have you ever been educated in visual art, or are you just a hobbyist? I've s seen some of your art and I really like the way you've got that artistically educated looking realism there mixed in with some nice trippy creativity. I went into art school for a semester (actually after I posted this thread --these drawings are mostly from before) but I really disliked it and switched back to science. It might've just been bad teachers and stuff though. I remember you once mentioned one of your pictures had been for an exam of dsome sort, so I figure you did some art in school. did you like the experience? find it helpful, and a good way to channel creativity, or shitty and restrictive/boring? o and that caps on a really nice hardcover of Narnia, btw. I didn't draw that, guess I covered up the title.
