kalmah is pretty tight... (at 2:17 the songs gets really sweet) and yeah I can dig some iron maiden every once in a while and judas priest. what genre are those?
lol yeah man. I love the harmonies. And as much as I love good old fashioned low growls, I love the raspy higher pitched melodic death screams
you ever played dynasty warriors? the sound track to those games was always trip. fucking sweet licks. I guess I can't say I hate metal...just not a metal head. I can listen to some...you get me drunk I and I get am fine with about anything.
I gotta say, I try to love all music, because its an extension of the passion of the player, But I don't get CC or Morbid Angel or death metal in general. I mean I get the theory,I just don't appreciate music with no rhythm, and I prefer not to be shouted at when I'm trying to listen to music.
Most metal has extremely tight rhythm sections. I don't think you have listened to much metal tbh. I recall you saying there was shit loads of reverb in the metal you heard. Metal production is super clean and rarely has effects and dynamics added to it
I'm no guitar player. I play drums, so reverb, distortion, flange, whatever. And I've listened to alot of metal, and I really dig some, but death metal doesn't make alot of sense to me musically. I can dig Pantera, Sepultura, Tool, Maiden, Metallica, Ministry, motorhead, and a slew of others, and I've really tried to listen to CC and Morbid Angel and Thanatopsis, but I stil don't get it. I'm not hating on you or the genre, just don't get it personally.
Yeah the guitars are heavily distorted. but the production is clean. nothing fancy. they just capture the natural sound of the instruments. Besides the drums. most of them are triggers
a video game for the ps3...hack and slash battle to be the shogun of japan essentially...or the controlling dynasty which was after the shoguns, I believe. The music is sick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8MCt8I23-4 https://www.youtube.com/results?sea...ors+soundtrack&aq=0&oq=dynasty+warriors+sound
BTW Pat__ i just checked out some "behemoth" on youtube, i love the skill and the enthusiasm the band members put into the music, but are they actually singing in English? I actually couldnt understand it at all lol
yeah lol if you type in "behemoth subtitled" on youtube the lyrics will be in the video. nergal (there vocalist) is an insanely smart individual and writes amazing lyrics
