Dreads and jobs?

idk about this i've put in applications all over my city and not gotten a single call back and i have my GED but yet people that haven't graduated high school or gotten a GED are getting hired like crazy. example my fiance he has a job at wal-mart were just waiting for them to call back this week and tell him which out of the 5 he applied for he got.

I'm confused about why i don't get call backs all my applications are great.

 

^^That's when you gotta call them back! be... forceful? is that the word I'm looking for? Dunno but some places like it when you actually seem interested in having a job. I wouldn't have my current job if I hadn't called back asking if my application had been reviewed.... they told me yes, come in at 8 a.m. and hired me right on the spot. dreads and all =) but it's a hotel so they may have a different outlook on alternative hairstyles, I know when i worked in a restaurant the management had an issue with it until i told them that yes, indeed, i wash my hair.
to the original poster, it really comes down to how open-minded the management is, and how well you can convince them that dreads are not the devil.
