No, but you did claim that you can tell the difference between the two and we are still waiting for you to back up that claim.
and like I said, pictures make them look different. in person I could as could most people. oh around the circle again
No, not around the circle again. You just keep making up excuses on why you cannot back your sill claim. Why don't you even try??? Pics don't make them look that different. You keep saying it's so easy to tell, but not in pics? Makes no sense to me.
But the new hair growth has not been backcombed, so it is natural. Can't call it backcombed if it's never been touched by a comb dude.
It's cause I never even intended to start an argument. Like SE, I just said I can normally spot the difference. And you guys got your panties all tight and think I was belitting you because you guys backcombed I dont care how you made your dreads
Noooo, not at all. I just honestly cannot see the difference between the two and I am honestly curious to know what differences you and SE can so easily see.
I'm sorry to drag you into this, Merrivale...don't feel you have to comment... Merrivale's dreads began as stubby little backcombed things, really tiny, and now he looks like Aslan All that new growth isn't backcombed, and given that naturally-started dreads could have equally organised sections if ripped well, you couldn't judge for certain either way from the pics, surely?
White snow as well Why are you all attacking him? He hasn't said anything wrong. All he did was state his opinion, that he can tell most of the time between natural and BC. Why should he have to prove anything you a group of people who just want to stone him for an opinion. If any of you took it as a personal attack than you either miss read or are extremely sensitive and insecure about your own. Yes pictures DO make a difference. His hair looks pretty tame in most/ next to all pictures but in person its just a huge mess.
Maybe because you said that MOST backcombers dont have their dreads for longer than a year, and put down people for choosing some reasons why they dread. If that isn't elitist, i dont know what is. BTW, dont deny and make me quote it
I said in my personal experience. Normally thats how people learn and conclude things is it not. Cause MOST people I have known have cut within a year Where did I put people down?
But you do understand this theory, right? You say you can tell the difference between backcombing & natural, due to texture, etc. Going on that idea, my texture should change at the point where new dreaded growth begins and the backcombed dread ends. So most of my dreads have the texture of natural dreads, as I have been growing them for over 4 years now, and only the bottom 6" or so were backcombed. Using that theory, it would be even more difficult to tell the difference in mature dreads, which totally contradicts your earlier posts.
lol why do you care if there classifed as natural or not? I believe natural dreads to be those started without any teasing or knotting of the hair at any stage
