pypes - it was here last year, and then there was a thing on midlands today about it the other week,, some family has them by theirs up cofton way, and theres a map on bbc black country with my photo on it =D sunflower - yeah, its quite a lot haha. we grow soo much, and most of what we grow i dont actually eat =/ but we put our name down for an allotment the other day, so im nearly there with the small farm idea =D nico - its been several years in the making =] i still live with the parents, and until about 1998 it was just lawn and play things cause we was kiddies, but now we're grown up [me, my bro n my sis] then its been turned over to growing stuff =] i really want chickens!! really really really, but im not allowed =[
interesting, it must be a regional thing. I have never eaten goat, not that I wouldn't either. Goats cheese is about the only thing worthy I saw in a goat, and all those weeds would weeds would replaces with bare spots and shit. Goat and sheep around about the same thing here. We always called them prairie maggots. ha. I come from primarily a small hobby pig and steer farm.
goats will eat EVERYTHING, which is good if youve got a plot of land thats really overgrown, you can hire/rent/borrow goats and theyll eat everything down, which makes it easier to be cultivated. ive never eaten goat either tbh, its a very carribean (sp?) meal. my parents love curried goat
you got the spelling right. rent a goat. I would love to get in that business...sit on my ass while people rent goats to clean up overgrowth, all the while feeding my goats for free. A dog is pickier than a goat is when it comes to what it eats.
no she didn't it's carribbean. and goat shit makes excellent fetilizer i'm sure since they are ruminants right? check out forest gardening. keeping animals like this are part of the concept. chickens ad bees are good because: chx eat bugs and break up soil and they poop. bees fertilize and they gots honeyz.
