Its 18 here, and not that that mattered, I had no trouble getting served at my local from 15 on.

Skyy is good. Im very picky with vodka. I need good stuff cause the cheap stuff makes my stomach explode and makes me wanna puke my stomach out.

pretty sure america used to have almost that exact law. at 18 you could buy 3.2 beer.

The age is 18 in Australia.

But I find it much better on my system to drink vodka than wine or beer.

I suppose it depends on how responsibly you drink.

You can vote at 18 but can't drink beer until you're 21? Bollocks.

i think in germany you can have beer at 16 and everything else at 18, but i could be wrong.

i don't see whats so wrong with the idea of leveling it off like that.

 

In Britain its all 18.And all the street hassle is caused by kids under 18.

There's less youth clubs nowadays, because running them doesn't pay.
So kids hang round outside shops and stuff.

I've never really looked how the 21 thing works in America.I mean wealthy kids have parties and big houses instead.But what about other kids, say who haven't got their own house yet?

I live in Kazakhstan, so I never faced this kind of problems anytime me and my friends decided to go for a drink. Approximately 5 years ago anyone could buy a bottle of vodka (the most popular alcoholic drink in our country) or any other shit even if he was only 15 or so. It is now, the laws started getting stronger and there is an age limit like in some other countries untill you're 21. But anyway, when I was 19 I always said I was 23 and bought whatever I want to get stoned.

 

What amuses me the most is the fact that you're considered mature enough to drive a fucking automobile at 16 but not mature enough to have a drink until you're 21.

 

You guyses forget this is prohibition country with a serious puritanical and isolationist tradition, you know?
