From what I've understood, US driving schools are ridiculously easy in the first place. But yeah, driving at 16, voting at 18 and drinking at 21? Something's wrong, brah.
yeah, the difference is I have to drink a little bit more beer to get fucked up, but hey if I chug even more I might get lucky and die!
I don't know - personally - having grown up in Europe - I think when you become a legal adult, you should be able to buy all the alcohol you want - die if you want, it's your problem. Whether it's beer or wine or hard liquor - same difference - some people will drink 15 beers in 5 hours, while others will only have 2 shots a week - now which is worse, know what I mean?
Well then I thought of HOW much you can actually handle. I mean you in your mind think "yeah I can keep going" but your body might be freaking out about it and you might not know it. I know a person that can take shots all night and be fine the next day and I know a person that can only handle a little because theyre stomach or anything else starts to hurt I know when I take shots of vodka, I have to take my time because again my body is still not use to it but the drunker I feel, i wanna keep going and I know I cant I think if 18 year olds were taught this thoroughly before drinking then have at it, but I do strongly agree teaching the adults this if the drinking age was 18.
Besides - there's something else: the more you forbid something to people, the more they wanna have it, which leads to binge drinking. I strongly support lowering the drinking age in the US.
Oh god that exactly what happens to me. People say no more to me but I get pissed cause I feel good but I can still drink even though im wobblin like crazy, I just have bad balance in general lol. I remember the next morning my friend was telling me I was taking shots alone after I got told no more.
The drinking age should be 18. If you can die for your country at 18 you should be able to have a beer or a shot (and rent a car) plan and simple.
^ well they could do that but it would be unfair for the people who are not in the army. And what the hell about renting a car...you have to be 25 here
I referring to the legal age upon which you can enter the Armed Services, not being in the military and then being able to drink at 18. If you can get drafted at 18 you should at least be able to drink a beer at 18.
now we know why you're still a virgin, won't take advantage of the drunk girls too (neither will I, so, we're both in the same boat)
yeah, that seems to make a big difference. on the other hand, under this system i could have bought beer at 18 for my female peers and scored points that way before they even started drinking.
