Dude Portland Maine has the 2nd highest bars per capita in the USA, anyone(s) wanna join me for a 6 pack of ale at my place than a drunken stumble down to the many bars for a few drinks?? Portland is gorgeous, some come visit via couch surfing, I've had a few vistors!!
Yeah, I'm a little late getting in this conversation but all I wanna say is.... Texas is the last state I would ever go to. I would rather someone stab me in the eye with a pencil then take me to Texas.
*so come visit, via couch surfing, I've had a few vistors already is what I ment to say Guess I am ready to stumble now
I feel the same about Texas, only drove through part while moving back here from California, but the entire time I listened to people leaving radio messages for loved ones in prisons...I hear Austin is different and I guess I will be going there next Spring
i had some wonderful time in texas, especially the coastal regions, the islands and the beaches. wonderful places. i have super-fond memories. much better than SoCal beaches, much less bullshitty.
What for? Yeah, Austin could be different.... but I can't stand redneck cowboys and people with a lot of national/state pride.... people with low intelligence..... Texas reminds me of going to prison for life for a joint (it's happened), George Bush and that one really creepy man from here that lives there..... Bleh.....
It wouldn't take much in my mind to be better then SoCal beaches though in my eyes. I'd rather have my toes cut off and I LOVE beaches.
I might have, except you're kind of thrown off when a car drives by you with a 4 year old in the passenger side saying "you wanna buy some smoke?"
it wasn't like that in the coastal areas. multinational, laid back, not image oriented. just sitting on the beach or on the dock loving life. it was beautiful.
I'm sure you're right and there would be parts of Texas I may even like..... I was just thinking of what I think of "don't mess with Texas" and that attitude and all I mentioned before... but you're right- Im sure there are places that are way different.
Move back somewhere within a four hour radius of D.C.- I can think of a ton of places around here I'd want to live.
off to drink, maybe smoke some Folgers crystals and I might smoke some soup or ginger ale as well HAVE FUN EACH AND EVERY ONE
