driving on acid/going to a concert on acid

I refuse to read this topic.

I think this is a very valid observation.

I've made that mistake many times discussing things that are very important to me, and I'm sure I will in the future.

I've always found that showing some respect for peoples ideas, no matter how much you are opposed to them or feel they are just completely stupid, and then explaining your point of view and why it differs, works much better if you want to actually convince someone of something.

Even when their idea may cause harm to me, the community, and the environment, I still try to understand why they believe it and how best to convince them without insulting them.

I'm thinking mostly of heated political discussions rather than this type of thing...but I still think it's valid.

Sometimes though, maybe I'm not trying to convince someone, but just pissed that they are being so unthoughtful. So, I just want to let them know I'm pissed.

I think in this case, maybe some were trying to express that they were pissed (at you and others) rather than trying to convince you....or they were doing a bad job trying to convince you.

Either way, I'm glad you aren't driving for everyone's sake.

To the op, get some xtra cash and take a cab, they dont care how fuct up you are as long as they get paid. You probably dont want to be responsible for a headline in the paper like "driver high on LSD kills 3". Things like that are nothing but negative attention towards psychedelics, grow up and get a ride.

That said, I have logged hundreds if not thousands of miles of driving while tripping.

I remember this one trip, descending into the grand canyon on I-67 from the north rim at dusk on a fabulous warm summer night in my powder yellow 1970 Datsun 510....
...desert colors fading into the gaping maw of that ever darkening viod that lay before me and my trusty space ship....
