Trying to copy a DVD to a DVD pricisely without a computer is a pain. I usually use DVD Decryptor and Shrink and they work wonders! Once upon a time then DVD players still cost $400 and my computer was good for nothing, I pluged the AV cables from the DVD player into the VCR and just copied it to a VHS. The quality wasn't very good but it worked painlessly. Then there's always the alternative of actually buying the DVDs.
