No, I have about a six month supply of food. Not nearly the amount I should have, but better than most people. Besides, I plan on getting out of the area before things start to get really bad.

Ignore 'em until they get caught red handed in your pantry.

I have more than enough food to get thru until the garden starts producing. And that's not including all the wild edibles which I actually planted in certain corners of my yard and garden so they'd be easy to get. There is WAY more than enough. And I already have almost enough seed for the whole neighborhood to grow gardens this year. Our running water is gravity fed and I actually have several crosscut saws if we can no longer use the chainsaws to cut firewood.
Mostly all we buy at the grocery store is dairy products and coffee. And looking for a good milk cow as we speak. Now I just need someone who can grow coffee beans to do some tradin' with! But seriously, I could give a damn about whether I have coffee or not... I'd just miss you all so much if I didn't have electricity....... ;)

Maybe it's time to go back to canning our own preservatives and freezing our own local foods like people used to do.

Sharing foods with our neighbours, waste-free environments are key.

Just a few months ago, he was unwilling to cut down energy resources and boycotted initiatives to cut down emissions and hydro (electricity) use.

    I don't think he's the boyscout type.

What are you talking about? Whatever it is has nothing to do with this thread.

Global warming is a sham, and setting carbon emmissions limits are just one step closer to totalitarianism

But some people don't get it... or they don't want to get it. They want to believe that government is the answer to everything, regardless if it is real or not.

The green agenda is merely veiled fascism, designed to turn even more control over to the controllers in the name of saving mother earth. It has nothing to do with protecting the environment.

But these people are masters of double-speak, and they do as they please.

I know it will make some people cringe, to play the Luciferian card, but we have to call a spade a spade, and there is only one commandmant these people abide by.

    "Do as thou wilt."

The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill
    [emphasis mine]. All these
dangers are caused by human intervention...
The real enemy then, is humanity itself."

Or promoted by those that seek to prosper off the the ills of others, while like Gore proclaiming themselves as champions of the environment. It's BS and the next bubble.

And if we continue at this rate, soon there won't even BE a politics forum.

    It will be ALL conspiracy.

It doesn't hurt me to see a thread moved to the wrong forum.

It isn't me who is doing their job improperly...

the leaves are salad quality, the flowers can be batter fried. the roots can be treated like any root vegetable. it's really good for you, and you can make jelly from it, etc. i don't think it'll take over quite like it did in the south. that's a totally different climate.
