Here's another one, great footage of the violence. People seem pretty worked up. This isn't going to end peacefully, imo.

    I love this quote!

The people are considering rebellion, the police are scared shitless and government officials have a plane on standby in case they need to get the fuck out of there.

And what does the good old USA government say? "Please oh pretty please, don't shut down Facebook."

    Those sadistic motherfuckers,
You know what the state department is actually saying? "Please don't shut down the CIA's Internet access. Afterall, they're not done trying to find ways to manipulate your problems to their advantage."

Wikileaks has just released a whole slew of US Diplomatic cables relating to Egyptian police brutality.

    See them all here:
    http://wikileaks.ch/reldate/2011-01-28_0.html

Please remember that the US has funded the equipment Egypt is using to repress the protesters to the tune of $1.3 Billion.

Realize this could just as easily happen in the USA or any other country. This is the KILL SWITCH that Obama wants for the Internet. Apparently every corrupt leader already has it.

Please note that Egypt has also shutdown all mobile communications as well, just when the citizens of Egypt need it most, including Vodaphone.

I watched some video yesterday of some guy standing in front of one of those vehicles, just like they did in China during the Tienanmen Massacre. Only problem was, this time, he got run over...

    The exact quote was:
"We want to make sure that Egypt is not interfering with the use of social media. That's a fundamental right as clear as walking into a town square."

Now everyone please remember this when the US gov't decides its time to shutdown social media because it represents a threat to the status quo...

IMO, one day it will happen. Perhaps sooner than you think.

When they're making 1.3 billion dollars from the sale of weapons to put down the revolution. Facebook is a "right."

But when the day comes they shut off the Internet in the USA. It's because Facebook was usurped by terrorists. The only thing that makes my blood boil is that the same fucking sheep will just say "baaa baaaa baaaa" and believe them.

That brown acid they handed out at Woodstock has got to be the worst plague to hit humanity.

Well- if Obama wants this kill switch then I can think of one corrupt leader who doesn't yet have it.

I was reading about this today. Apparently any country where the Gov't controls the Internet backbone, as opposed to private corporations, the gov't can shut it down anytime it chooses.

So in the USA, the gov't doesn't control the backbone, probably a dozen big companies do. But they are very responsive to Gov't requests and would probably comply with any.

Obama wants a switch which can shut it all down without having to ask anyone...

Al-Jazzera reports that the police have disappeared from the streets. No firemen attending the fires either so they are spreading. The Army has begun firing on civilians.

There are reports of shots fired over by the Ministry of Information and Communications, which is surrounded by protesters.

Meanwhile, down on the streets, amid the chaos, the devout muslims are stopping their protests to pray...

Mubarak is expected to speak to the country soon.

So, I take it they're (the police/military) not using rubber bullets anymore?

Hilary Clinton is going to speak about the situation on CNN soon.

I bet this has tyrants around the world shaking in their boots and moving money to Switzerland, and sending their families abroad...

Hillary and the US State Dept. are pretty much IRRELEVANT today. :)

Demonstrations also underway in Luxor and Port Said.
