Why do these things always seem to fall on America's head? Why not let Egypt sort itself out, because chances are America will just make a complete arse of it, again.

I said humanitarian aid, don't paint my words out to be more than they were.

Humanitarian aid consists of medical supplies/workers food drops moral support things like that. I'm not saying america shouls get involved in the conflict... but it's in our power to lessen the suffering of the people there while it goes on.

    Ahhhh ha hahahaa!

is it wrong that I think it's great when a 'reporter' becomes a part of what he's reporting? I'm sorry but I find ti condesending as shit to walk amungst them and yet be able to act so detacted from them.

What does that little snipe have to do with what I said? I'm an individual expressing my opnions, don't lump me in with whatever you hear on your news programs about us.

At breakfast this morning the cafateria had fox or some shit on, and it was interviewing a reporter whos crew was pushed out of the crowd.... They described the crowd as being violent towards them, which I thought was funny, because they'd just described how the crowd had repeatedly told them no cameras, and that they where not welcome.

Not surprising... refuse to respect the wishes of a group then complain how they act to the disrespect. It's hardly surprising that the west is so hated. To the protesting mob, those western cameras represent us. the indifference to the wishes of the demonstrators is a microcosm of western indifference to the sovereignty of resource rich nations that are ripe for exploitation..

I don't want anyone to tel egypt what to do. But is there anything being done in the way of humanitarian aid? There are a lot of innocent victims of revoluton... seeing as we have the means I think it's our duty to help ease their suffering.

Food drops, medical aid. Maybe even UN peacekeepers to protect the unarmed protesters from armed assult. On both parties. Our efforts should be focused on protecting human life, not influancing political structure.

All manner of western aid is likely to be interpreted as trying to influence the political outcome. The United States carries a lot of baggage in these situations that creates suspicion of our motives over every deed done- including humanitarian. When I'm in a social situation where it's clear my input is aggressively not desired I know to walk away but as a country we refuse to get it.

    democracy must advance . it's not ideal , it's
not religion . current democracies are designed
to be manipulated by power kings . shall the last
Phaeroh of Egypt retire in peace ? maybe .

Fuck how it's interpreted. It's a damn fucking shame that doing the right thing for the sake of doing good is a concept that doesn't exist in politics. makes me fucking sick.
