No, are you? Not really. Anyone who cannot see shit isn't right has their head buried too far up their ass. I just don't have much respect for anyone who hasn't been denounced as a kook or conspiracy theorist.
If they have a serious motive for throwing that sign what in earth would it be? Seriously. Not only of course! Not everyone who gets this idea has to get it from Revelations (not even indirectly)
Just as humans in general they come in various degrees. It's better to not perceive it so black and white as in conspiracy theorist = good, not conspiracy theorist (or been denounced as one) = potential crazy person. No wonder you get both a bit nihilistic and misantrophic if you would really perceive the world like this.
Hmmm, so you think that after a few thousand years of the idea sitting in the collective human psyche it hasn't manifested in myriad ways? Orwell's 1984 was exactly that. I doubt the concept exists in aboriginal tribes with little Christian influence. Asmo, please direct me to another widely known source for this idea of an evil one world government.
Yeah, like CNN and FOX. I mean, they've got millions of dollars so of course they tell the truth. Plus it's all glossy and stuff and the women are hot, so that gives it credibility. Only stuff on the TV is reliable. Corporate news is the only news I trust.
See? Proof Pat Robertson is part of the 'controllers'. This lady got a little confused, but yeah, she's one of THEM as well. Watch out for this kid... he'll be the first dictator of the Global Government.
that last one is so fucking stupid, PR. So if a person suggests that you check your sources they are automatically a FOX news groupy? Your logic and associations are so fucked up, it must be like a wind storm inside your brain. You should approach ALL sources with the same degree of neutrality and skepticism, end of discussion.:sunny:
I'm sure every similar idea that came after the idea of an apocalypse like in revelations can be connected to such a source. And also that the majority of those ideas can be influenced by it (directly or indirectly). Does that mean no one can have such an idea or can reach such a conclusion without being influenced by it? Of course not. So no, I'm not gonna look one up for you.
My point is that the Biblical concept of the "end times" is so deeply ingrained into our modern psyche that I think it would be near impossible to NOT be influenced by it if a person is a member of modern society. I can guarantee that all the hoopla PR goes on about is DIRECTLY influenced by the Biblical idea of the "End times" Not gonna look it up? now you're just being lazy.
Same if we would turn this 100% around. Just because it seems unbiased and not supported by any corporations it must be sincere? Why not take notice of all sources? Ignoring mainstream news completely makes you come across as if you're doubting your own ability to judge a news item, not the ability of those silly people who have not been denounced as conspiracy theorists yet
One should also point out that eschatological interpretation of Revelations is intrinsically flawed and only relevant in the sense of self-fulfillment; it's an idea that is maintained collectively but very much of it is disoriented, as the Bible itself is not explicitly clear on much of what has developed out of apocalyptic misappropriation. I mean to say that this is not exactly a Biblical concept, but rather a cultural phenomenon originating in fantastical interpretation of highly symbolic text. Eschatology is archetypal and our modern psyche represents many elements visually by a lot of peculiar amalgamations (the New World Order leader with the gift of gab in a suit suddenly setting countries as pawns against each other, for example).
They are all in on it...:daisy: Consensus: 97% of climate scientists agree http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus Statement on climate change from 18 scientific associations "Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver." (2009)2 American Association for the Advancement of Science "The scientific evidence is clear: global climate change caused by human activities is occurring now, and it is a growing threat to society." (2006)3 American Chemical Society "Comprehensive scientific assessments of our current and potential future climates clearly indicate that climate change is real, largely attributable to emissions from human activities, and potentially a very serious problem." (2004)4 American Geophysical Union "Human‐induced climate change requires urgent action. Humanity is the major influence on the global climate change observed over the past 50 years. Rapid societal responses can significantly lessen negative outcomes." (Adopted 2003, revised and reaffirmed 2007, 2012, 2013)5 American Medical Association "Our AMA ... supports the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s fourth assessment report and concurs with the scientific consensus that the Earth is undergoing adverse global climate change and that anthropogenic contributions are significant." (2013)6 American Meteorological Society "It is clear from extensive scientific evidence that the dominant cause of the rapid change in climate of the past half century is human-induced increases in the amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorofluorocarbons, methane, and nitrous oxide." (2012)7 American Physical Society "The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now." (2007)8 The Geological Society of America "The Geological Society of America (GSA) concurs with assessments by the National Academies of Science (2005), the National Research Council (2006), and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2007) that global climate has warmed and that human activities (mainly greenhouse‐gas emissions) account for most of the warming since the middle 1900s."
