You need people who have no particular skill other than bringing the right people and money together.
Hey... It's legal. At least it is wherever he was being interviewed. Isn't it legal for recreation in Canada as well now? I should google these things. EDIT: I checked, and believe Joe Rogan's studio is in Pasadena, CA. It's legal (which hasn't been that much different for me since I quit before it happened, and because there aren't any dispensaries to speak of in the neighborhood; just delivery services.) As for Canada, I'm surprised there wasn't a thread about this (I'm wrong: there are three Search Results for Query: canada legalize | Hip Forums). Here is an article confirming my suspicions. So you are saying its the supreme bullshiters that run the world and get all the attention. Musk, Trump, Steve Jobs..... And the people that actually invent the shit that matters, changes stuff...well no one has a clue who William Kouwenhoven was
He’s losing a lot of his good employees, I’ve read. The sign of a great CEO is he/she doesn’t need constant attention and he seems to need all the credit given to him.
Well, we're all human, so no one is flawless, but in this definition, some do stay behind the scenes and give others the credit. They have a more team type of attitude. Trump must have been a horrible CEO, since how he describes the accomplishments thus far in his Presidency as ''I did this,'' and "I did that.'' No ''we.''
sounds nice. i don't think i've ever had that kind of CEO. lower level managers, sure. but in order to get to CEO, it seems like blatantly stealing credit for everyone else's achievements is pretty much necessary. that's always been one of my pet peeves actually. if my current boss wasn't so full of himself he really should have noticed by now that the second he says "i did such-and-such thing" that was actually done by me, sometimes even against his advice at the time, i immediately drop out of the conversation. i'm not trying to be petty either, i just know myself and if i opened my mouth again i would tell the truth, which is not always a good idea in this kind of situation.
The firm I've just joined, the CEO of North America seems pretty amazing, and very much reaches out to everyone. He even reached out to me personally, welcoming me to the firm. I was shocked. I thought that was pretty impressive, considering most CEO's act like you're just a number... You should look for something else. Sounds like you're not appreciated.
actually i am appreciated. and i actually like my boss, for the most part. he just has that one really obnoxious habit of claiming credit for stuff he didn't do. i don't even think it's entirely intentional; i think sometimes he legitimately believes that he did shit that i actually did. but tells people all the time that i do a good job, he just claims personal credit for any specific accomplishments. and i am looking anyway. not because of him at all, but this job was always meant as a stepping stone, and i've given it 5 years and gotten all the really relevant experience i can get out of it. at this point, to stay would be to stagnate.
I love him but I just love every celebrity. If you are ever on TV or in the paper I automatically just adore you.
