Marshall Mathers LP is to Slim Shady LP what Relapse 2 will be to Relapse. To prove this point I bring you to the last track(non bonus) from Shady LP and Relapse. Each of those CD's had the same goofy kinda funny and somewhat offensive material, but the last track comes in and knocks it out in a hardcore fashion. Still Don't Give a Fuck was a prelude to what was coming next. People just didn't realize it. Underground is doing the same thing. Relapse 2 will be a classic, I'm willing to bet everything I have on it.
What are you talking about he never tries to be a thug. He doesn't talk about dealing drugs or most of the same stuff as other rappers...
Infinite is style biting garbage. None of that shit is original. I mean the songs might be but he just jocked other rappers repeatedly in an attempt to find himself. Infinite?!? Are you serious? Slim Shady EP(Not to be confused with the commercial release of Slim Shady LP and there are differences) is by far better than that shitter album.
I hear that a lot, and I can somewhat understand. It has a very rushed feel to it during certain parts, but at the same time it had incredible depth too. Like Toy Soldiers is one of his best songs, IMO. Not to mention Yellow Brick Road too. And "Just Lose It" was better than some of the earlier singles.... I dunno, I can't say I don't get it, but Encore, to me, was pretty awesome.
That was a Bass Brothers beat and not a Dre beat, I'm pretty sure... He actually hired them back last year or a little further back. They worked together for a while again until he bought his own studio and let them go. I doubt it'll be released any time soon, but he has tons of tracks from them in the can, I'm sure....
