Im not emo i was just wondering what you guys think some emo bands are. Trust me i am no where near being emo i am to perky.
My name is Aaron and i thought id post on here first because i hate emos so much. My life: - ive done serious drugs -ive been homeless -ive been beated shitless more than once and stabbed -my parents dont actually like me and are kickig me out at the end of the month -i have tried committing suicide because of bad experiences more than once -i do actually suffer from bi polar depression and other things im not going to mention just a few things from me. . . but then the emo family Emos: -thinks weed is addictive even though its not -always ben in their warm cosey beds -thinks a punch on the arm is a serious attack and so has to make a myspace and write a poem for it before turning a pair of scissors on themselves!! -their parents actually love them and give them money for their shit fashion sense -attempt suicide for a fashion because all their friends think its kool and think they will get laid but they dont because theyre too fridgid -dont actually sufer from any kind of mental problem and no, cutting yourself for a fashion is not a problem and doesnt lead to depression. watchign your ex girlfriend die makes you suffer from depression!! in comparison emos look like they have a ray of fucking sunshine looking over them!! heres an idea!! stop crying about bullshit and things that you think are kool, get a decent haircut that doesnt make you twitch like a spacker and for the love of god dont ruin your bodies with scars like i have!! you dontknow how much it pisses people off when we have real problems and you all try and copy it for a fashion!! i want to hear your views on this post please Aaron x
i hate when emos go and call themselves nonconformists. (just like the other emo kids) if they were true nonconformists they would wear their own made up style
The whole thing of "cutting" is a real problem that many young (and some older) people have. I di if for a while during a deep depression I had as a teen around 12-13. This was 1986 OK. No EMO or EMO music around. I never saw this as a lifestyle. Yes, I can see many kids doing it for attention or some get a rush out of it. But hurting oneself is a problem no different then someone taking drugs or drinking.
How do you know ALL "Emo" kids are not in some serious depression? I work at a middle school. We had a young girl who looked typical Emo. Everyone thought it was just a phase whatnot. It later came out that she was being raped by her father. It unfourtunate that some can't look pass the clothes or the music one listens to.
Heh heh. MCR is awesome. The main difference between a Goth and an Emo is that an Emo will sit in the corner and cut himself because someone didn't like his poetry. A Goth sits in the corner and cuts himself because blood is pretty and fun to play in. Most Goths really aren't all that depressed, they just have macabre senses of humor. I've been goth for years, and the only self-harm I've considered (my love life notwithstanding... ;D) came after a reaction to a cold medication that left me with 10 days of insomnia. I was also convinced that I was shapeshifting into a pig at that time, so I don't think this one had anything to do with my lifestyle. Ah, sleep deprivation. I don't take that cold med anymore... that was very, very bad... though funny in retrospect.
