"Environmentalist" as an insult

You want to save the environment? Well, screw you! I love my pollution. *rolls around in a landfill of plastic*

 

I'd consider liberal to be insulting.

If you call yourself a liberal, you're seen as a whiney self loathing pussy who thinks the government should wipe your ass for you.

But if you label yourself a conservative, you're seen as a jingoistic church-going xenophobe.

 

Many people have tried to insult me by calling me an environmentalist and I then just assume that they are stupid.

 

And if you call yourself a moderate you're seen as a wishy-washy fence rider who can't commit to one side or the other. Sigh.

Ricky Nelson sang it best, you can't please everyone so you gotta please yourself.

 

Newo, kinda hard to choose which side of the fence you're on when you know where you stand on certain issues, but the issues are on both sides.
