Not very practical... getting a face that's only useful the night before November. I wonder if her plastic surgeon gives out Halloween candy to his patients?

Recovering from the surgery alone is difficult for some people. Some go into a state of depression after surgery when they see what they look like before everything has healed.

By placing so much value on a woman's appearance being natural, aren't you obsessing over appearances as much as the fake bitches? If it's really the inside that counts, then shut up about some girl's fake bazongas and judge the individual.

It's the whole self-esteem crap, "always gotta improve this.. or improve that.." kinda complex women suffer from that really gets me.. I think (for the most part) it's true if a guy says you are perfect the way you are, then you really are..

It may go both ways, feel free to call me "misogynist", but I think this is predominantly a female trait.

So wanting your chest to look a certain way or having blonde highlights signifies how you feel about yourself?

Having a million people say you're beautiful is meaningless if you don't feel that.

I despise plastic surgery. I think it makes a person much less attractive, even when done well. Once I found out Megan Fox had plastic surgery, I ceased to view her as beautiful. Its hard to admire the beauty of a plastic person.

    You answered your own question.

It's completely self-esteem, and most guys just find it ridiculous.

& doing all that stuff to make yourself feel better won't do it. you'll just keep finding something else to improve on and keep messing yourself up. natural beauty is the only beauty if you ask me.

I wear light makeup when I go to school. Other then that..I really do nothing. I can see where you're coming from it really does seem like a lie. I once had extensions and I went on a date with this one guy friend thing..lol, that I really liked. And he was touching my hair, and I admitted it was extensions (they were real hair extensions) and he said so this is a lie??....A couple years later he had fake braid extensions in lmao..Idk. I think it kind of goes both ways. I'm not saying most guys do these things I think it's more frequent in women but ah what can you do. People like to experiment with their image and try new things and I think that's normal....however i've come to terms with who i'am...plastic surgery is not the route for me, and i'd rather someone love me for me and roll over the next day and not be like..AHHH WTF..where's the extensions/caked on makeup/fake eyelashes etc.

I think SunshineChild is right, it's always something. So you lost the weight you didn't like...now you don't like your nose. You fix that then your hair isn't good enough. I think people just need to take some strong advice (I should take this too sometimes I have my days where I don't like myself) "Be the best you, you can be", and if anyone doesn't like it they can line up to kiss your ass!

Naw. I didn't. This would be my answer, had I done that: I had cosmetic surgery for a physical deformity. It was 100% elective and not necessary to continue living. That surgery didn't change who I was. All it did was remove a couple lbs. of tissue and give me some symmetry so I had a bigger selection of swim suits and I don't shock any lover I take on. ;)

I don't dye my hair. If I were a billionaire, I can't really think of anything that needs fixing. I certainly understand why people want things fixed, though, and it isn't about self-esteem. You can be the most confident person on the planet and still recognize something is holding you back.

People get surgery for a lot of reasons. My point is, there's more than one correct answer. Some people do it because they're insecure messes. Some people do it because when they're screwing someone they don't want to go through a 15 minute dissertation. Some people get plastic surgery because getting their foot in the door is easier with regards to work. There are tons of reasons. And letting that limit our perceptions of people is our burden, not theirs.
