Scientists seek religious experience β in subjects' brains.. http://www.latimes.com/science/la-sci-c1-religion-brain-20150107-story.html#page=1
This is a common misconception from people who don't actually understand what the theory of evolution posits. It doesn't say that we come from apes; it says apes AND US come TOGETHER from a common ancestor. Apes are not our evolutionary parents; they are our cousins. Your argument makes as much sense as saying "If I came from my parents, then why are my parents still here?"
Sounds good to me. I have no problem with that. So that also makes dogs, cats, ostriches and giraffes my cousins also.
Yeah and check this guy out, he's everyones grampa... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/9363268/Scottish-lecturer-found-to-be-grandfather-of-everyone-in-Britain.html A retired lecturer who took a DNA test to find out where his ancestors came from has been found to be directly descended from the first woman on earth, who lived 190,000 years ago.
Ha ha! quite welcome. βIt is further proof that even white Anglo-Saxon Protestants are descended from a black Eve.β :afro:
That's correct. Those aren't even exotic examples; they are all mammals and one bird. Did you know you share 50% of your DNA with bananas? This is because all terrestrial life that we know of comes from the same source and uses the same basic methods to live. Also I'll just say, reading scripture and believing it because the scripture says its true is not "reasoning". It's the opposite of reasoning, but I know I cannot change what you choose to believe. Just don't say it's based on logic, sound reason, or evidence, because none of those are true. It's based on you wanting to believe it, contrary to staggering amounts of evidence to the contrary compiled by hundreds of thousands of hard working scientists in dozens of fields.
